Do you match your bra & panties to your clothes?

I was just talking to a friend about this. I never realized I did this before. I match my bra & panties with the clothes I am wearing that day. So today I have on a purple shirt & purple ruffle skirt. I have on a black satiny bra and black & purple ruffle panties. I remember when I was young and living with my parents we had plastic colored hangers. Every shirt that I hung up had to have a matching color hanger. This was my thing my parents never told me to do this lol. Then I would put all the colors lined up so that way if I was looking for a pink shirt I could easily search through that color hangers and find what pink shirt I wanted to wear for the day. Does anyone else do this or am I just a organizational freak? I dont do this anymore though but I do match my bra and panties to my clothes.

Yes, actually I do. It makes me feel good and pretty to wear matching underwear even though I am the only one that will see them, except on the occasion when I am wearing a top with a small strap and my bra strap slips down. But when that happens they match so no one is the wiser, I hope. lol

I don't feel I have a problem with it. I just like things to match, nothing wrong with that. I love wearing pretty things, even my white bras have lace on them and they are pretty. No one sees them but me but I feel lady like and pretty knowing I have on pretty things.
Plus I do wear a lot of tops and dresses that have spaghetti straps or small straps.

See I'm the same way. I guess I'm not so abnormal then. I hope I get a lot more reponses because so far its just you and me and a few who dont do what we do. After posting my discussion today I asked my sister what she does. She said she definitly doesnt worry about matching her bras and panties to her clothes. I kind of assumed since I have that kind of habit that she would to being my sister but then again we are NOTHING alike. We are total opposites.

couldn't agree more moondancer- it makes me feel even more like a lady when I know I have pretty matching underwear on under my clothes. I feel that it really gives me a bit of a boost in self confidence- even if I am the only one that knows or will see them ;)

Hi. shaggin. Welcome to the club, I also do this when I can. If I can't match the bra, then I will surely try to match my panties that goes along with my shirt or my pants. I also have colored plastic hangers that I use too. I have many of them and I try to match my shirt color along with the color of the hanger. It is neat to me. I like having my clothing organized and well kept.

I dont have enough colored hangers to color coordinate my clothes any more. What I do not isput the shirts according to what they are. The long sleeve shirts go first then the long sleeve shirts that button up such as cardigans then is the shirts that arent short sleeved but arent full length sleeves either after that is my nice sleeveless tops that I dont want to get rumpled from being in a dresser. Thats how my shirts go. After the shirts aremy capris and then my pants and then my long skirts and last is dreses. Nothing is color coordinated anymore except when I actually am wearing the clothes.

Matching bras and underwear to what I am wearing that day has been a subconcious habit of mine most of my teen/ adult life. I have always ended up with underwear on that match and I don't even think about it usually. This discussion caught me off guard because I really don't put any thought into this. My mother always said to me as a child- make sure you have clean and matching underwear on in case of an emergency. Now what emergency requires this is beyond me- but I grew up with this instilled in me and do it to this day :) So yes you are absolutely normal- not OCD at all in my opinion.
Now the idea with the hangers I never thought to do....good idea with the color coordination of them as well....bet it saves time. I may try it because I am a sneaker freak and have sneakers of all colors and usually t-shirs to match them- but when it comes time to find a t-shirt to match the sneakers I may want to wear that day- sometimes its a problem....so I think I may try your approach to it....it may work out better for me :) Thanks for sharing

Well thats really cool that my discussion gave you an idea of something that might work for you to help you find a shirt to go with your sneakers faster. I like shoes that pretty much can match any outfit. I pretty much only have one pair of sneakers. I wear them until they wear out then I buy another pair. Usually white with a little blue or something like that.

Ya, i think it's pretty necessary for me to match it both, because besides to match the colour, so it won't be look from the outside, i mean people can't see clearly what bra or panties color inside your clothes from outside, so it have 2 benefits hehe, you are not organizational freak for being neat!

YAY another myloter who doesnt think that I am just an organiztional freak. Its very true that really you should match your bra and panties to the your clothes because what if you wear a white shirt and a black bra that looks skanky I think. Its kind of necessary in that case. But if you wear say a pink shirt and yellow wouldnt show through it ick thats not good enough for me if I wear a pink shirt I want a pink bra and panties on as well.

Never mind wear them to match my clothes, I don't even wear them to match each other!
I don't really have any matching sets, as I tend to buy my bras from LaSenza and my pants from Primark, therefore they don't match. I have never seen the problem with that to tell you the truth, and wouldn't really have enough time in the morning to make sure that everything was matching, anyway.
I know of a few people who match them up, and I don't think they're any better than I am. Certainly, I make sure that the clothes that I wear on the outside are well presented, but nobody sees my underwear, so there's no real reason to make too much of an effort on that front.

I've never heard of LaSenza or Primark. I cant stand if my bra and panties dont match. They dont have to be exact like a set that goes together but if I wear pink panties I should have on a similar shade in pink on my bra. I can deal with it if my bra and panties dont match my clothes but I cant stand it if they dont match each other. It makes me feel so embarrassed in case any one should happent to see.

No, I don't match my underwear with my clothes. I just prefer the colors black, white and beige for my underwear so it would look good when I wear clothes that reveal my underwear. Besides, matching clothes with underwear could be very expensive because you have to buy different kinds of colors. But there's nothing really wrong with it, If you've been used to it since you were young then it's just but natural that you still practice it now and definitely there's nothing wrong with being organized, for me it's a good habit. :)

I don't at all, but then, my underwear and bra are lucky if they match! If this is something you do without even thinking about it, you're not an organizational freak. Maybe if you obsessed over it and HAD to have the match you might call yourself one. :) I think it just varies person to person. For me, I really don't care what my undergarments look like unless I know someone else is going to be seeing them, haha.

Well I'm glad to hear that you do not think that I am an organizational freak :) I dont HAVE to match them to my clothes I just noticed that I do it without thinking about it. I wonder if I have always done it or just how long I've actually been doing that lol.

shaggin you are not alone in the matching undergarments to the outside clothes. I do that as well. When I was working at a B&M job I shopped frequently and I never bought a new outfit without buying the matching undies and bra to go under it! I also never bought any undergarments that were not part of a set. I did not try to match various panties with bras. I wanted them to be just right. These days I am a bit older working from home and I don't get to shop as much (not as much $ coming in) so I have lapsed in the matching some what. I am going more for comfort these days around the house than I am about "my baby is gonna wanna take this of of me just to see what I got on underneath!" LOL! Of course there are times when we go out that I do still pull out the bells and whistles and match everything up for him.

Thats awesome that you always buy the matching set. Sometimes things come as a set where you have to buy the panties in the size that comes with the bra. That doesnt usually work for me that way because one of the two will be to big for me. I like the stores where you buy them as seperates that way I can match them but find the sizes perfect for me. I never have the money to buy sets so I just buy things that match such as a black pair of panties with a purple bow I can just wear with a black bra or purple bra.

can't say that I do. As long as I'm not wearing a red bra with a white shirt its all good.

It really doesn't matter to me if my bra and panties match. These are items i am wearing under my clothes. No one is going to see them so I just pick what is comfortable to me.

I don't do that at all but there is a very good reason. I am rather 'top heavy' and finding bra's and panties that match can be really expensive so I don't even match my bra's to my panties let alone to my clothes LOL!

Hey, I have had the same problem so have others I know. I found that I can get some beautiful under wear at Cato's and another place called Factory Connection and you can get them on sale sometimes. I got bras and panties that match at Cato's for $225 each and they are so beautiful and nice. Not cheap material or cheap made either and they match and they are so pretty. I feel good about my new undies. Check it out when you have some extra money.

Ugh I just typed a response and it messed up so now I have to try to rethink what I wrote and type it again. I'm glad that when I saw your post earlier that I didnt comment. Now that I see you spend only $2.25 I'm like oooohhh ok that makes sense lol. When I saw earlier that you paid $225 for a pair of panties I was like oh my god that is insane. I could not imagine ever having a pair of panties so amazing that I would be willing to pay $225 for them lol.

Oh I too feel very sexy if I have sexy undergarments on. It seems so strange though that you match your panties to your outfit but not your bras. Even if I dont match my panties to my outfits my bra and panties have to at least match or it drives me nuts. I'd be so worried someone would see my undergarments were matching and I'd be really embarrassed.
