Ok This is the jist. I wake up at 4:00am and myLot till 7:50 sometimes rushing and almost getting late for school. I get back from school and once I went from 3:30pm till 2:30am. That was purely on mylot!
It is almost the end of the school year. Mock exams are coming! Externals are just on the horizon! AND I CAN'T GET OF MYLOT!
I MEAN THIS IN A GOOD WAY but it is also bad because it means I can't concentrate. I can't think most especially if I know I had a topic that had lots of responses that I am so willing and eager to read. Hell I can't even concentrate when my ipod goes *buzz* in class because I receive a mylot alert.
*sigh* Do you guys have any such experience? Funny stories? Horror stories?

I can relate. If only I have enough time, I'll probably be here more often. I like this site because of the discussions and not really for the money. There are a lot of interesting topics that I always end up sleeping really late at night even if I still have to wake up early in the morning. There are some important stuff that I have to do online but like you I can't concentrate because I kept on checking mylot.

You have to learn to balance a bit friend. myLot is not going anywhere and your school is way more important. Tell yourself I am only going to be on x amount of time daily and try really hard to stick to a schedule.
We will all be here when you get on and the discussions are endless. But I understand the feeling it is like any other enjoyment mechanism. Sometimes we just can't get enough.

Trust me I have tried to delegate my time. Though i think i have self control issues!
I just can't sit there without thinking of mylot. OMG WHAT DID x and x say and etc.
Its just too much for my little brain to handle!
Though I do agree school is more important!

I totally understand what you are getting into right now. mylot is very addicting. You will get more addicted with the site once you start earning. mylot is really a very nice place to spend your time with. But hey, we still other things to do right? Know and set your priorities right. You have to concentrate in your studies while doing mylot at the same time. trust me, you will not regret it once you find balance with your online activities and the offline ones. You will definitely get the hang of it. Time management is the key. But for now, I guess it can't be helped to see you like this. It will wane out in a month or two giving you more time to study and do other activities.

That made me curious what kind of topic you have started! Looks like it's really a good topic people flocking to respond on it! And we're also happy another MyLot addict surfaced here! We're increasing in numbers here, soon our governments will notice this, the mainstream media will notice this, and soon Facebook will notice us leaping over them!

I'm guessing I will have the same horror story as you soon since school is starting in a couple weeks. Even without mylot I had the same experience.. I'm someone who already has issues with procrastinating and staying up late so now that I have mylot that will probably make it worse. Last year I only studied for one test and didn't study for exams...

Hi, friend. It's good to hear that you love mylot so much. But I'm just wondering which one is more important to you, study or mylot? As you're now a student, I think you'd better focus more on your study rather than spend too much time on mylot. Posting here is certainly fun, but it should be taken more as a way of relax after your whole day study. However, the long hours you spend here is obviously too much than you ought to. If this contintues for a long time, your study will surely be influenced. Think about it carefully and make a quick decision about it.

It happened to before when I first joined mylot, I was a student also at that time. I am addict with this kind of stuff. Specially when the first time I received my payout almost $13. I was always excited everyday visiting the site and even I am in the class I was thinking what discussions I am going to post when I came home. Mylot can be addicted but be calm because it's normal to all newbies if you want to earn and socialized with different kind of people with no boundaries.
