Near Death Experience

It was not my experience. It was my sister's. However, I would like to also share it to you guys, to inform and to warn you about riding an elevator.
Lunch break was almost over when I received a call from my sister. She's working abroad. Excited to talk to her, I answered the phone and started saying "Hello". No sound, no noise, no words, no anything. It was a dead air. I dropped the call and sent her a text message instead saying that I do not hear any sounds and asking why.
I waited for a reply. Finally, I received a reply from her telling me that she encountered a near death experience in the elevator. I was shocked. I asked her what happened and she told me that the elevator she was riding a while ago free fell. She was supposed to go to the 27th floor where her office is located but when she reached the 27th, the elevator never opened and it started to go down very fast - THIS IS THE FREE FALL! The elevator stopped at 22nd and she felt like it was shaking. She hurriedly pressed the 24 so that it will go up and the elevator never failed her. It went up slowly and at last the door opened. She ran very fast while the tears kept on falling. She reported it to the management to take actions regarding this matter.
I thank God for saving my sister in this near death situation. I hope she will recover fast in the trauma it brought her. Life is really precious!

Thank God your sister is safe! WHat a terrible experience! Recently, in another discussion of mine one person had responded about about phobia for escalators and her fear that the contraption would give way suddenly. It seems to have been proved immediately. Did you speak to your sister after that? How is she now?

I'm glad you're sister is ok and god was watching over her. That would be the worst experience ever. I bet she'll never go back into an elevator again. I'm not to fond of elevators myself. Hopefully she wont have nightmares because of that.

It's good to hear that your sister is fine...we should always make sure that the elevator that we are riding is safe...Companies should always have their elevators be checked..even at malls

It is awful that something like that could go wrong in an elevator! Thank goodness she thought of pressing another button to make it go back up again, otherwise who knows what might have happened to her!
Elevators should be checked out a lot more often than they actually are, especially seeing as so many people have to use them on a daily basis.
I live in a flat block, and I get so scared about things like this happening that I don't even bother to use the elevator anymore, I use the stairs instead, even though I have to walk up and down many levels to get to my floor.
