Do you like to give advice, but don't like to take advice?

Why do so many people like to give you advice that they don't take? I have a friend that can give me advice about everything under the sun, so to speak. But the minute i give her advice she gets upset or she just doesn't listen. Why are people advice givers and not advice takers? I don't get it.

I've met people like this before lol. 
They shower you with their "magical" advice, but hate it when you give advice to them, because...
...they think they don't need it. They think they know everything there is to life and therefore - GIVE advice rather than receive.
Well...here's some advice for you - Stop giving me advice!
