Just lately, I sleep always early in the morning. I want to sleep early because I have regular work everyday from 8am - 5pm. Everytime I am lying in bed alot of things come-in into my mind. I don't know what happen to me.
Do you experience the same? your body what to rest but your mind wondering many things and roaming around. If yes, what are the solutions you made so that your normal routine of sleep back?

hi julyteen I am having the same problem because my roommate gets up as much as four or five times in the night, leaves the door to the hall open so the light wakes me, and then I have a hard time getting to sleep again
and we are woke at six am for a 7 am breakfast. I have resorted to li stening to music before I fall asleep or reading both calm me and I usually do sleep better. Sometimes a glassof milk before bed helps too.

I am lying on the bed already but I can't sleep so I rise and have a smoke for awhile. No disturbance except our TV on almost 24 hours but my mind already aware this since the beginning when I arrived here in Saudi Arabia. i will try a glass of milk. I don't want to listen music because it will add up my mind to miss my family.

If you are active on different activities and you will become tired it will result you to be sleepy. Now I am always sleepy because I am always tired with my world. I need more time to sleep but because I am disturbed with my friends and they always visit my room, time for me to sleep is not enough!

Hi Hulyo,
Maybe it will help if you do some stretching exercise before going to sleep. If you can drink milk do it if not a camomille tea will do. for a more simpler means--just try to relax and empty your mind. try to calm down and imagine a cool place where you can be more comfortable until you fall asleep. good luck i know you can make it.

Yes, I have experienced this sleeplessness too. Actually this is what helped me -
make a habit to go to bed at the same time (9:30pm or 10:00pm) but make it early and stay on that time, Close that TV and forget that you have a computer or books or music, Switch off the lights and stay lying down even if you dont get sleep (which you wont in the initial days), If your brain starts wandering, think of Lord and try saying some prayers. You would start getting sleep soon.
The above worked for me and many days I had good sleep. Hope it helps you too.
Happy Sleeping.

We have the same experience julyteen. I have experience lying and rolling in bed because my mind is still active. What I did is drink my milk, take my vitamin C and then go back to bed, close my eyes, think no more of other things, just close my eyes and drift away to my sleep. When you are about to sleep let your mind rest, don't let it work again just rest it. Don't drink sodas or eat sweets b'coz sugar can wake you up. My professor in college even advice me to put perfume on my pillows so I can smell it and easily go to sleep.

psychologists practice what is called behavioral therapy: they suggest that you don't lie in bed when ur not sleeping; rather, get up and do some other stuff. You should go to bed only when you are gonna sleep. hope that i have helped ^^
