Hey everyone
Like most people, i dont liek violence. I think sometimes it is needed (self defence), but im not a big fan of it. However, that said, i do think that some weapons look cool. For example, shuriken, kunai knifes, and stuff like that. TO the point where i am begining to think of getting some. But does this make me a bad person? I dont want to use them on anyone, or every use them at all. All i want is a couple of shuriken and kunai (pherhaps not full size ones) to throw at a target i might make out of wood. Or pherhaps just to hang them up in my room, as a sort of decoration.
But is this wrong? Will this make me seem like a violent person just because i like martial arts? Im so confused...

hi fpsninja, i guess you are feeling a little confused if you are asking your fellow lotters advice. so here goes, i think you should stick to martial art films and classes of learning about your interest. draw some pictures or put some posters up in your room of your chosen weapons or your movie hero using them. you are not wrong to have this interest, some weapons look cool but if you were ever robbed they could easily fall into the wrong hands. hope this helps. good luck.

Liking martial arts is not a bad thing, it's where your heart is. Some people learn it to control others, or put themselves above someone in some way though fear. I don't think that is your intentions, or what you desire in any way.
Learning to fight and defend yourself is fine. I train, not only for myself, but be sure I can protect my family and those I care about who can't defend themselves. This internal need to protect and defend others is natural and healthy. There is evil in this world, there are people who want to hurt others including your family and mine. Where it becomes a problem is when someone has violent feeling or intentions when there is no danger, or justification. Training with the right instructor and with the right attitude can actually help you become more controlled, and less likely to react violently in stressful situations.

A saying for you from senior persons "dont point a sharp instrument at anyother as it is considered anger and nasty action will follow'. Your conscious does not approve such items then why do you want to decorate it and God knows best why he blessed that conscious. Take care.
