I admit I have not observed the frequency but I do know that I cut my fingernails when they get in the way of my typing. My work requires cut nails to make it easier and faster for me using the keyboard.
Are you monitoring the frequency? How often do you cut the nails?
Are you comfortable with long fingernails?

Hi,
I cut them when they grow. I don't cut too often, but only when I need to.
Thanks.

Of course my dear. I wonder, if you sprinkle a bucketful of right kinda hormone on a pine tree, even it will grow nails.

now that I've come accross this discussion,I'll start counting the frequency related to statistical records all through the next month and I'll probability be in a position to answer you at the end of a year or probabily within a decade with the measure of Central Tendency and Standerd Deviation!!
Thanks for initiating such a great discussion and probabily a ground breaking invension!!
Happy MyLotting!!

I bite them off about every 2-3 weeks. When I start to notice them get in the way I can hardly stand it.

Yep, I bite them off only. When you use clippers it takes way too long. Also, it leaves uncomfortable sharp points on them, when you bite them off, they are nice and rounded. And, when you bite them off, you can control how far you go into the nail; so, you won't go too far into the nail and cause annoying nail pain.

I trim my fingernails when i can see that it has already grown.. I think it will be 2-3times a week. I really don't like seeing my nails long and the dirt remains in the spaces of the nails..I don't like seeing long fingernails as well, it just seems so untidy.

When I was a teenager I really like having long nails as I could put my nail polish and I am doing that just every summer since of course we are not allowed to do that in catholic school. But the time goes by I am not doing it now because I am lazy and yet polishing nails can be time consuming. Every time that my nails are already long I am cutting it right away.

I have had a bad habit in the past with nail biting. i try not to do it, but when i am nervous or tense about something, it is usually the first thing i do. So, if nail biting doesn't shorten my nails, breaking usually does it. If i can prevent nail biting or breaking, i will cut my nails about once a month. i son't like short or long fingernails that much. somewhere in between is what I like for my nails.

I don't think that's so important.. When they get too long - you cut them and everything's fine. It's different for different people. Some chicks prefer very long nails, some girls don't like them.. Men are usually like short nails because it's not masculine for guys to be with very long nail. But at the end it's all your decision - you can do what you want with your body. Related to that how often you have to do this - it depends how fast are they growing...

I've not been observing but it should be once in 3-4 weeks..as mentioned by you the finger nails when grown come inbetween typing and then i realise that they are grown and it is a time to give them a cut and that is when i cut them...sometimes it just happens that i might chew a nail a little but not the whole...earlier i used to chew it out off(bad manners) and started cutting them(good manners).

If possible, i won't want to cut it that fast!! When i do that, i won't be able to apply my nice nail color on my nails, before showing it off! However, there's a limit to how long my nails are allowed to grow before i have to cut them off. Like u, if it's too long, it will be affecting my work, in terms of typing and even holding a pen to write.

I would have to say that I probably cut my finger nails once a month, if not less then that. I like to see them grow long, and I usually go bending or tearing them so they aren't exactly the strongest. My toenails get cut even less then that, I mean more then a month's time, but they never grow too terribly long. I tear them as well.

This is something I do very frequently and like you I do not know or have monitored the frequency. I have a high calcium level I think as I think I am trimming and filing about every 3 days as I can tell when they are way out of my league.
I can feel the discomfort as soon as they are longer than my liking.

I always have my nails cut. It annoys me when they are long because I find them to be very bothersome. If I notice that my nails are starting to grow I go and get the nail clippers. I really don't know how people can live with having long nails.

I used to bite my nails, but that habit is pretty much long gone nowadays. I think when it gets to the point when I have stuff under them constantly and they are breaking off, it's time to cut and file down the nails! I want to say that I cut my toenails quite often, maybe once every week or so, they grow that quick. As for fingernails, maybe once every three weeks or so. However, I will file them down a bit more than I cut them. I'm on track of that a little more, with work they get in the way and either break off real easily or somehow always dirt and grease under them. ICK!
