Listening to music while at work

I prefer working with music..it may sometimes distract me when i need a lot of concentration but those times are really rare. Music really helps me feel relaxed especially in a very stressful situation.

At work, I don't mind listening to radio or classical music. But if I have to talk on the phone all the time, or having conversation, music at the background wasn't such a good idea though. That really depends on the situation.

Depends on the kind of music that I listen to actually. When its upbeat, I guess the way I work would also be a bit quick. If the music that I am listening to is a bit slow, perhaps I am trying to be careful with whatever it is that I am doing. I heard that one would get to study better if the music that is playing on the background would be rock music. I really don't know if that is real or have I ever done that when I was a student but, perhaps it can since upbeat music helps the mind to be more awake so, perhaps the information that one tries to study would indeed be registered more compared to studying in a very very quiet place. Well, that's just what I think.. (^_^")

We have the music system on in our office the whole day. Just light soft music. I like listening to music while working and it does not disturb me one bit. I think soft music helps me concentrate on my work better.

i have come across many places particularly in banks in India where music is played low during working hours.The believe that music if played low helps employees work more efficiently and customers are also not bored at waiting for long period.I think it works.Perhaps music if played loudly it may cause distraction to employee and irritation to the customers
