Earning money online.

Ok, so what is with all of these people who think there is absolutely no way to make money online? If you go on yahoo answers, type in "how to make money online", and then read the questions and answers, you see a tonne of people saying that you can't make money online and that they are all scam sites. And these people are top contributors. Are some people really that ignorant, or, are they trying to discourage people so that they can have the online earnings to themselves, or what? Come on, how can people still not know that there are ways for an ordinary person to make at least 100 dollars a month online, without any training?

I think a large portion of these discouraging people are failures at making money online and have turned bitter and decided that crapping on everyone else's parade is the way to "help" simpy because they couldn't make it. I'd then also guess that the reason for this behavior is most likely because they've been sold on some get-rich-quick scam and/or entered into online business thinking it was the type of gold mine where you pick basketball-sized nuggets up off the ground instead of having to dig and pan for flakes. I've been working online for about three years. I usually make around $100 per day, so I certainly know it's possible in a month. My best advice to someone would be to read past the bitter ramblings of know-nothings and go look at a wide assortment of information. You should never have to "buy" anything either.

I think that is probably it. They think that if they can't do it, nobody can. Decent earnings!! I hope to be there some day.

I write web articles for people, either content for their official sites or promotional pieces containing links. Referral sites rely on other people to make money. I've always avoided those. And for survey sites, you can end up losing a lot more than you make. I went against the grain of what my fellow "writers" thought was good business. These wannabe unionized bozos (and I say that with love) outright refused to work for any less than some website said they should be making (20 cent per word or some such nonsense). But they were well behind in the game. This is the Internet. This is about people wanting to make money. Someone wanting to make money isn't going to pay a writer $100+ per article they can 1) write themselves and 2) find an Indian to do it for $1. So while the best writers around the web were holding out for high-dollar work, I started taking jobs rewriting articles and banging out fluff pieces for $3 per 500 words. To the haughty writers who believe there is some great integrity in writing, I'm part of the problem. But I had a plan. And that plan has paid off. I started bidding on every job where I found a "team" of writers were needed. I knew two things: One, most writers would either be fired or quit, because they didn't appreciate the little money for big effort, or because they didn't understand how to integrate tough keywords and phrases into articles. Two, I knew that if I stayed writing with one "team" long enough, I would eventually track down where my articles were going and thus I could step in over my "boss's" head and cut out the middleman. Eventually, I did just that. What started as writing articles for bottom-rung prices helped me get my foot in the door. I found a bunch of sources and contacted them directly, and now I work directly for the website networks needing content and do not have to fork over percentages to useless middlemen playing at this to make money. What started out as $3 per web article is now $10, $20, and sometimes upwards of $50 for one article. I still do hold a client or two I respect and who can find some easy work when I'm on a drought ($7, $10, $15 articles), but other than that I'm in business for myself. I won't fool with these other schemes to make money online. I treated making money via the Internet the same way I would treat making money in the real world. I worked my way up with a plan and some effort. My fellow writers believe their university wallpaper means they should instantly start out making top dollar. And most other work-from-home people assume there's some "easy" way to bang out riches. For the latter, maybe there is. But I never wasted time on it. I went to work. Good luck in your work! I hope everyone is earning out there!

Hi, Wiggles.:) There are countless possibilities of earning online. Only, we have to be wise and get a little knowledge of what site to join and what site to avoid. If you can do this, you'll feel like you've just hit the jackpot.:) By the way, I gather that you are a writer in Triond and you are submitting pictures in tastespotting to attract visitors to your article. I tried it but my pictures were rejected.LOL. How did you do it?:)

About half of my recipes get rejected due to the pictures. All I do is hope for the best. Sometimes I try the same recipe with different pictures. It is tough, but it is very worth it. You just have to try and get lucky with certain pictures. Good luck.

I never had to much luck with Hubpages of making any money from them yet. But this other thing with the recipes? Do you have to have you're recipes copy written? I have allot of my own over the years that are great! But should I have them copyrighted before doing something like this?

hey wiggles ... how are you? so ... do you think a referral sharing "scheme" would entice more teamwork? referrals seem to work in ONE direction; I'd suggest introducing a shared referral scheme ;) Eric

Hello buddy. I think mentioning referrals would make things neutral. Because, once you mention that there is a referral system, people could say "well, oh, I don't want to join because you make money from me", but then they say "Oh, I guess I could do the same with many others though." What I would like is more tiered referral programs. One where you get 25% of your first referrals earnings and 10% of your referrals referrals earnings. It would be cool with stuff like that.

Hmmm. I think that would be good. The only thing that could create a problem is if people would start auctioning off referrals, depending on how it was all set up. Still, great idea.

I see your points on tiered programs. My suggestion is to share the initial referral even if 20/5% that would create teams right from the beginning and the "splits" could be reversed on future referrals :) thoughts? Eric

I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice.. Yahoo Answers is the worst for that. I went there before to check the online earning questions and on ALL of them, there was a top contributor who replied saying it's impossible to make money online. How are these people top contributors is what I'd like to know.. Yesterday I saw one who said he spent 3 years looking for a legit site and they were all scams. That is such a LIE. If they haven't even tried online earning, why are they answering people's questions is what I'd like to know.. They are just misleading them. Yesterday I got so irritated with all their lies and false information I went and told off a bunch of them. Hopefully my yahooanswers account won't get suspended. That would be my 3rd account gone. And for what? For helping people out and telling them which sites they can make money from. Geez..

We really should.. At first I just stuck to the truth and ignored all the lies. But then people were posting saying not to listen to my answer. That's when I got mad and just started telling everyone off on questions. One of my most helpful answers had 5 thumbs down, and it was the ONLY truthful answer on the page.

Hey wigggles18, if there is some real money to be made online I would sure like to know. I have tried countless offers and been scammed on most or asked for tons of money I do not have. You know something I don't? Please do share.

You can earn money online but you have to know where to look. Some people belong to a bunch of sites and some only a few. Also remember you should never have to pay anyone to earn money. Only join sites that are free. All of the ones on my profile page are free. If you would like some more information, feel free to send me a pm.

Some people are extremely pessimistic, AND ignorant. Because they obviously haven't done any research before spewing off about something they are only guessing at. I for one am glad that I never ran with the in crowd.. and did "it" just because they all were. Or I'd be missing out on all these opportunities.. Honestly I don't know what it is with some people. I have proven to my friends, coworkers and family That I make money every month online and really there is only a rare handful that has even tried maybe one of the opportunities I have showed them and usually they give up and don't bother after a week, or less. And then I have to hear them complain how they aren't selling anything (in regards to zazzle) or they aren't earning anything or they are so broke.. well Duh.. you aren't doing anything to remedy that now are you? I'm not making quite $100 a month yet. but I'm getting there and I am an extremely ordinary and untrained person.. what I know was self taught... well at least I know how to read, write and spell... oh, that's a whole different story altogether... Have a great day wiggles. minx

There are some places to work online that are legit. I worked online with a company call LiveOps for over 4 years and you can make decent money with them for working form home taking calls of infomercials you see on tv or even Pizza Hut through them. There is another one called West that is the same. But most places that ask for money up front I have found out have been scams.
