Which do you think will be looked back on as the better trilogy....Star Wars (the original 3) or Transformers and why?
I am torn between the two. Star Wars was epic and set the bar for all trilogies to follow, but Transformers is so cool (and my wife will actually watch it with me)
BTW, I know the 3rd Transformers hasnt come out yet, so it is kind of hard to pick, but pretend it is as good as or better then the first 2.....

I like watching both of them. But I have to admit that I think Star Wars is better. As it was filmed so long time ago, but today I didn't find it very outdated anyway. Usually some old science fiction movies will be boring today, but Star Wars is the exception. Transformers is a great movie, too. But it depends on much more special effects. The Star Wars is a much more classical science fiction movie.
I love China

I think that they are very different films. Star Wars has 6 movies and I think they are planning 3 more. Transformers is basically blow things up and have some eye candy for the guys. I think transformers was made for men. Where I think that star wars has hit every generation and both genders. There has been more involved in the making of the star wars movies and it shows in the end.
20 years from now people will still be watching Star Wars movies. Children will likely know many character names and stuff, but I think Shae LaBeuff will be forgotten.
Just my opinion

Transformers is a good movie but i like star wars because it is more interesting and unpredictable while watching where as transformers is predictable.

Star Wars was 1st shown when I was in my early teens. Special effects then was so simple as compared to today. The story was also an attention grabber because of the theory of inter-galactic wars. Of course, I prefer to Transformers when it comes to visual effects and storyline. I hope that writers will get more imaginative as time goes by to attract billions of viewers worldwide.

If transformers 3 is as good as the 2nd then by all means give the trophy to Star Wars (original sequel). It is 100% was much better than Transformers. I know transformers has all the digital effects that has awed us a lot. But their story line and acting was way down crappy, specially the 2nd one. I'm just glad that they removed Megan Fox in part 3. Now I'm hoping that the Transformers franchise can redeem itself from being crappy.

"Star Wars" without question. "Star Wars" was such a great trilogy, Michael Bay's "Transformers" doesn't hold a candle to "Star Wars".
"Star Wars" was better filmed, it had great acting, the story was unique, the story stood the test of time, and the movies just spoke to generations of people.
"Transformers" did not speak to a lot of people. I loved the "Transformers: Animated Series", but I couldn't stand the movie. It poorly filmed, the acting was garbage, and the story was junk. I have seen better. "Transformers" isn't even a trilogy, you can't even compare "Transformers" to "Star Wars" because "Star Wars" just reigns supreme.
To me, nothing beats "Star Wars" when it comes to Science Fiction. "Star Wars" is a masterpiece.

First of all, I have never seen any Star Wars movie. Poor me. Lol. I was never interested in it before and up to now. I do know some names like R2D2 because I had a free toy upon purchasing a McDonalds meal Starwars edition years ago,. :) I'll be biased about my choice because I have only seen Transformers and never seen Star Wars. With the special effects that the movie Transformers has, I just think it has an advantage over Starwars because of that. That's just about it .
Best of luck

Special effects are nothing. "Transformers" didn't even have solid story, and "Transformers" was poorly shot. It's like Michael Bay can't camera still for two seconds.

Sorry, I meant "can't keep the camera still for two seconds". Watch all of Michael Bay's films, and you'll see what I mean.
I like story, and "Transformers" sadly, a very predictable and unoriginal story. It was just a standard action film. It's classify in Sci-Fi category to me.
You need to watch "Star Wars" because you will see that there is a huge difference. The story is unique, original, unpredictable, and the story stands the test of time. This is the one Science Fiction film that I prefer to watch over many other films because of how original it is, and it takes a lot of Japanese and Roman mythologies. "Star Wars" is "the nerd film", or "the smart person's film".

Sorry, correction again, "Transformers" DOESN'T classify in the Sci-Fi category.

Both have good story lines and the very best special effects of their respective generation. I don't want to choose one over the other since the only similarity of the 2 is special effects. It won't be fair. Of course, decades ago, special effects seen in Star Wars were the best during that time. It's a good thing that it evolved to something even better in Transformers. If the near or far future, I look forward to better stories and great special effects.
