There are a lot of health benefits you can get from tofu! I read this from many sources in the internet from my recently research. I did some research on some food which could help people who has diabetes. My girlfriend's father has a diabetes and he needs to lower his sugar level for some eye operation in the near future. So what did I found out about TOFU? - Tofu helps suppress the elevation of blood sugar levels - It contains nutritional elements that strengthen blood vessels to protect against diabetes complications. - It also lowers cholesterol. - It is also said prevent chronic disease such as cancers and heart diseases. Now isn't that great? I definitely would suggest this to my girlfriend.

My dad and elder sister is diagnosed with diabetes as well..but they have controlled their sugar level so far. Not the super high level though but still it's not normal.. I have eaten tofu and i know that it has great benefits but i don't really recommend it because i just simply don't like the taste i really feel like throwing up after eating it. My dad has already eaten it and i told him it could help lower your sugar level but he said he'd rather have other alternatives than eating tofu..he just can't take swallowing it

Does it really taste that bad? I think it would depend on how you cook it. There are many tofu recipes. I have eaten a meal with tofu just two weeks ago at a restaurant and it tasted great! I only forgot what the name of the recipe was.

Well honestly i have eaten different types of tofu recipes..because i have volunteered in a hospital that serves tofu and my dad was once admitted there. They serve tofu for the patients food and have a lot of other recipes in their canteen, since there are no other food available because they only serve veges, tofu or vege meat and there's no way we can buy food outside with a short break we would end up eating it.. Anyway, i really don't like any tofu recipe that i have tasted..well maybe the one you ate must have cooked it well. But after the experience i had, i would never ever eat it ever again.
