My anti-virus expired already and I need to used another anti-virus software to safeguard my laptop. From mcafee which was already expired can you recommend any other anti-virus that are also trusted and been used for more members here or used most by many surfers? Are you using paid anti-virus or you're using free anti-virus?

Hello Julyteen,
For a long time I am using AVG free. It is not bad at all. It protects me from attacks and its instant and fast detection is a definite plus point. As I do not download and install softwares too much from web and surf very cautiously I never faced a serious threat indeed. In my opinion whatever the antivirus you use it should be updated on a daily basis.

HI,... i am using Kaspersky antivirus. Kaspersky antivirus from the experience quite tough compared to other antivirus. But Kaspersky antivirus need different license fees for providing a free antivirus like AVG, Avira and others. For now i recommend Kaspersky antivirus.

hi julyteen I did use free AVG for years but it was not compatible with some new systems we installed so now I have Avira which is also free and its been excellent detecting any spyware and any virus and stopping them at once. if free AVG is compatible with the windows you have its really an excellent free choice and so is Avira too. either one is really great and every bit as good as norton.
