I have been sitting on the bed today, thinking what can i do,when all of a sudden i thought that i would have a look in a craft set of drawers that i have in my bedroom.I must say that there are lots of things in these drawers that i have never used,so i am going to sort through them sometime this week to see what i have got and forgot about.

I am moving AGAIN! I can hardly wait to get moved back in at the old apartment. This time instead of leaving my things boxed up as if I knew I would soon be moving I will be unpacking books and nic nacs. I am sure I will find alot of things I had forgotten I even had. It will be so nice to see what all I have and can perhaps dispose of or clean up.

Are you moving back in with your daughter then? I hope all is well. It will be fun to find some of your stuff that has been packed away.

Yes, moving back in with my daughter after her manic phase is over. I look forward to unpacking my things after so long. I can't remember the last time I had all my stuff out. I am sure there are things I have forgotten I even had.

Hey jugs! I sometimes find little "surprises" every now and then
when I clean out my closets or my draws. I will sometimes find
things that I totally forgot that I had! I'd much prefer to find
money, but that hasn't happened in a very long time!

I think i do have some of those as well.. lol =D Sitting nicely somewhere, whiereby i cant find them and yet i know of their existence, vividly in my mind.. haha =D I wont bother to go about looking for them as i know the more i wanna find it, the more likely i wont be able to! But once i give up, the thing will opo out right in front of me, without any efforts.. lol =D
Just like the pair of running shoes i bought a couple of years ago, while searching high and low for it, i cant seem to find it. But when i opened the most unlikely places of all, the shoe rack, i found it sitting nicely in it.. lol =D

I am always amazed when i come across something I had purchased that i forgot about. Sometimes I don't even remember why I bought something that has been left unused and hidden from my sight. I never know what little treasures I may find thrroughout my house that have bought but forgotten.

That's a good idea. We sometimes need a quiet time to think about ourself or the things are around us. It's good to arrange our life.

I have been given loads of things as gifts over the years and i tend to put the things that were given to me in drawers, mainly craft things.I have loads of different things that i can try out when i want something different to use to make my cards. As for clothes i am thining all the childrens clothes out,as they have far too many now,so charitys will be happy,as that is where they will end up.

Jugs, I am in that process myself. It is so fun to find treasures we have forgotten. Or other things that we kept saying "I wonder where such and such has gone?" It is good to clean out and go through drawers and closets now and then. I hope you have tons of fun with your finds.

Something kind of like that happened to me here just the other day! My hubby and I have been buying early Christmas presents for the girls so that we aren't freaking out in the beginning of December like we were last year! Lesson learned about procrastinating until December to buy my Christmas gifts. Anyways, he has this old trunk that has been in his family for quite a few years and we were hiding our gifts in there. I was wondering just how much stuff we still needed to get so I thought I would take a peek and their was a lot more in there then I thought! We are more then half way done our Christmas shopping for our girls already!

I learned my lesson last year about waiting until the last minute and trust me I will NEVER do that again! It is impossible with 2 kids, with 1 it wasn't too bad, but with 2 it's just impossible to wait I think!

I am also like you in getting all those Christmas gifts early, where as last year it was all done all of a sudden at the last minuite.I think that when we look to see all the things that we have got we can not remember all the things that we had bought.I hide all the Christmas gifts in my mums loft and then my mum aswell as my daughter wraps them all up for me,lol.I have found loads of things that i had forgotten about, mind you it was nice to see all the things, rather than rubbish, lol.

Hi jugs,
I know the feeling of having things that you bought awhile ago and never used them. I have a closet, well, a couple of closets that have clothes with store tags still attached. I don't know why I bought them, except at the time I thought that I could use them.
Things are important to have in case you need them, but I find myself going overboard, but lately I have stopped spending and I plan to donate some of the clothes to charity.

It sometimes happens that when one wants to make some repairs, using a particular clothing, not found. Spend time and by chance there are things that we forgot we had them.
There is always a box, a closet, a room or a shed where we keep everything and we forget what is there, because of this, when we need some particular item and can not remember where, we will buy.

Hubby was just saying that he wished we had flour because we had to throw our flour out that we bought in bulk. It got little black bugs in it this year. We got ready to grocery shop today and I opened the cupboard just to find two one pound bags of flour sitting there. I was surprised because we didn't have to buy any after all lol. I don't remember when we got that flour.

I had just done that a couple of days ago! The only difference is that, i sort out everything, be it being used or never been used. It's such a fulfilment when i got everything done, and it looks so neat now. It's good to be doing that once in a while to pass time, or for some other purpose. Never mind that it can be a lot, because the longer we drag it, the more time we have to spend on clearing those things.

I used to do that a lot. I shop for Christmas early and I was always forgetting what I had already bought. For the last couple of years, I have kept a list of what I had bought and for who. When I wrap, I have the list with me so I can remember who gets what. I keep the presents all together also and that makes it easier to see what I have already.
