cashgopher kills your USAGE:(

I am using a prepaid mobile internet connection and I do monitor my internet quota very regularly to make sure that I don't run out. So far, even after I installed Cash Gopher, my internet usage seems to be on track. I am thinking it might be possible that your computer might be downloading updates, which saw your usage surge up unexpectedly. Just a few days ago, my computer downloaded updates for Windows XP which used up about 100+MB of my quota, but at least I knew about it because there was an icon at the bottom right of the screen that showed that it was downloading. What I suggest is to continue using Cash Gopher for another day or two and see if this trend continues. If it does, then most probably it is due to Cash Gopher and you may uninstall the software in that case......

i have never experienced that..... i have a software installed for my internet usage and it shows me current usage of internet by my computer..... i have 2.5 gb free plan so i am always careful about my usage..... i think u may have something on downloading queue that continued to download after connecting to internet.... by the way thanks for the warning....i will keep eye on my usage software continuously ..... happy mylotting

How do you check if the usage is made by cashgopher? I have thse plans where you pay for the month of broadband, no matter how much you use it, but maybe what you say means also other uknown problems for the computer. I would not like my hard disk to be filled with anything I don´t want.

As of the moment I haven't experience anything worst from the cashgopher I just want to see how it will earn. Oh yeah by the way how could I check the usage as well? It happens that my internet is unlimited so I don't have any problems with it.

there has been lots of rumors about cash gopher, you can see it here in mylot, just search cashgopher topics maybe you can find remedy for that..

No, thankfully I’ve not encountered this problem only coz I’ve downloaded the gopher in my office net and we have unlimited connection in our office… so this thing kind of slipped out of my mind. Sorry to know that you’ve been needlessly charged for something when you actually did not use it…and the payment from cashgopher is not such that it can compensate your extra billings. I think you should search more for cashgopher (as some friends here have suggested) and maybe you can come up with a remedy OR you can always uninstall cashgopher.

I also don't understand yet Cash Gopher and it's earnings.. but i feel when i installed this software and after installing this software my systems speed getting slow.. so now i doubt about some critical virus..

You are somehow correct. If you have read the terms, the site specifically said it. Cash gopher is really using your Internet connection. But they promise to use it only if you are idle. But I think when you search something only using a search engine, Cash gopher will also work/ But if this are the only things that Cash Gopher will be needing so why not, at least I don't do anything. I have a 3.0 Mbps connection and this is too much for me, so why not share it with Cash Gopher, at the same time earn.

Hi dear, As you said, many are having different problems with this. Initially, even I didn't feel it is slows. But gradually it is happening. Even I have made a complete to the service provider saying that my net access become so poor and they are trying to rectify if this is the problem with their end. However, as this is the first time experience and as some of our friends explained, the back end process are not aware to us and if the computer is idle and the system is accessing the net internally, then better to have a close watch on this. Because, when we pay Rs 100 as utility bill, we will be getting Rs 2 for the same for the month period. So, we should be careful enough that such things are indirectly not troubling us. Yes,my internet connection has been slow down from last 3 days,but data usage has no more any effect.but in next days i will check my usage.

Well, i have an unlimited plan and it does not bother me if it uses my internet but the problem with me is that, I have downloaded it around 4 days ago i.e. on the day of launch and I have no earnings yet. Even after the fact that I use my internet for 2-3 hrs a day.

I dont even worry about it because my computer wouldnt even download it.

I found that it sometimes slows my internet just a bit but nothing too much. I don't think my plan is limited so I should be ok. But I will keepyou posted if it starts getting worse.

This is EXACTLY why I DID NOT install CashGopher on my computer. My internet usage is metered, thus I am billed for usage. I am already fighting with my IP over the overbilling of my usage, because they are starting my monthly amount higher than I agreed to originally. So, I don't need a bigger bill than I already have just to be online. So, basically, CashGopher's activities would COST ME money, not make money for me. I guess it will only work for people who are not metered in any way and have UNLIMITED internet usage included in their bill.

At the moment I am using a mobile prepaid broadband plan because I am in the middle of rearranging my home internet so my provider has switched it off in order to make those changes. Up until now I haven’t noticed any excess usage but I do have a large number of GBs available every month. My mobile broadband will be the telling one! I will soon know if Cash Gopher is eating up excess usage. Time will tell for me...

Have you considered upgrading the plan?

With the many negative feedback I've read about cash gopher, I decided to uninstall the said software. I do have unlimited internet access but I will not put my computer at risk for just a cents earnings.

Hi chinna! I'm not having the same problem as yours because I currently have a fix plan per month. On the other hand, I still want to share my experience and opinion about Cash Gopher. I installed it immediately last Sept 1 and had intended to keep it since it is from a reliable site. But on the third day, I noticed my PC was unusually slow. When I tried opening some sites (like hotmail, facebook and youtube), it won't open properly. I had to check my internet connection but it was perfectly normal. I can't think of any other cause of the problem but only Cash Gopher since it was the only thing new on my PC. I had it uninstalled (on the third day) and restarted my PC after. My PC was working fine already. I earned $0.05 for 2 days. It would have been fine with me if didn't affect my PC. I've seen some posts here that they've earned between 0.35 to 0.40 on their first day. Some said because they are from US.

I'm happy with Cashgopher and I'm not experiencing that at all. Nope no slow down for me may it be internet and hardware. I love the checking my earnings everyday, it's not that big but I'm very happy with it
