okay, i'm thinking of subscribing to suncellular's wireless broadband plan (the one for 799 a month, unlimited net usage) .... do you think it's worth it?? considering that the speed isn't very fast? this is my only option for an internet connection because i don't meet the requirements for a land based internet line.....

What internet connection do you used right now? If you lived in metro manila you could used that but if you are living outside metro manila I suggest you choose smart broadband in my experience smart broadband have a strong signal outside or inside metro manila. In some location Globe gas a poor connection result and you could see these statistics when you look at the speedtest.net surveys.

i have been a loyal suncellular subscriber for years, since the entry of this network. and even if i changed sim and switch networks, i always come back to sun. when i planned to get wireless broadband, i consider sun, of course. but unfortunately, the service was not available at the time i got this one. i may consider switching to sun wireless once my contract expires.

i have no problems with sun mobile services..but it's the broadband that i'm doubting here in Baguio city.... it was okay in manila when i used my frieds' connection, but then again, who knows maybe i just got lucky at that time that the speed was fairly fine. i mean not that good but not that bad neither. that was in quezon city

not worth it, at all. You'd be waiting for 5 minutes for a page to load. But if you don't have any choice, better go to an icafe and do your thing..

hmm... i've used smart bro and globe tattoo before and the speed really depended on your location. i heard sun was slow. but i bet that also depends on where you are.
i wanted to show you a review of these broadband brands but i couldn't paste the link. *sigh*
i guess i'll just have to suggest that you check online reviews yourself... sorry about that.

yes i've been doing some research...and it highly depends on where you are. at times it's fine at times it's not.....it's just that i don't wanna be sorry if i ever decide to get the plan... lol, maybe i should just use a magic 8 ball to help me with my decision hehe

smart bro worked better for me. it was prepaid.
and my family in the province also started using smart bro last week. i think they had this 6 mos. lock-in period thing which gives them unlimited access within the period. i just don't know how muck it was. maybe you can check that out kquiming.

I think the speed depends on where your location is. I have used Globe Tattoo, but unfortunately, it's really slow because I'm in a province. But when I was in Cebu, it works just fine. I don't know if suncellular's wireless broadband is good. But I have heard from a friend, that suncellular's wireless broadband works fine even if you're in the province. You know what, wireless internet connections are not reliable when it comes to its speed. It's really slow compared to land-based internet line. Right now, I am using Bayan DSL. And so far, it works great!

The speed depends on the location, but the MAX speed is based on the plan. So even if you have a full signal, if your plan is only 512 kbps, then you can only have that max.

Many people would say that your wireless internet speed would depend on your location. Well, that is true.
If you got friends who have the prepaid usb version of your planned internet provider then try to borrow it just for a while to check if the wireless connection in your area is good enough. That's the only way I could think of to be sure and safe. That is aside from asking people in your area who have already used the same services.

My cousin uses Sun Cellular wireless broadband and I tried also myself before I left our country it seems no problem with the speed. I have a friend also used it for more than 2 years already. If you are living within Metro Manila the speed is good but if you live outside Metro Manila I think wireless broadband is not favorable specially if you want to earn more online. I used wifi here but the speed is good.

Oh, we used to have sun broadband, it's okay as long as you're not gonna use it to watch movies or to download stuff, cause it would take you too long to do that. Overall it's okay. though what I can tell you is you should first ask anyone you know to borrow their sun broadband and try it where you are staying, cause the speed really depends on where you are, there are places where sun is faster, there are some where smart or globe is faster, so it's best that you try first before subscribing so you won't have any regrets, and no money lost on that matter.
