I can't understand why people care money more than health. I saw people who
didn't care their health, even they were ill then didn't see doctor, saved
money was their principle. They will be very regret when they lay down, since then
they will realize health is very important than money. yes, money can buy much,
clothes,substance, however money can't buy love,family relationship, even can't
buy life. If we notice health problem, we should take health is first condtion in
our lives.

some people believe that health is more important than money. i also believe in the same concepts as them, money cannot buy health despite having the ability to acquire the best medical system however, money is earned through hard work. if our health is affected, how would be able to concentrate on our work to bring back the bacon home? therefore it is vital that we remain healthy so that we can focus in our work to put food in the table. wealth is on the wish list for many people through out the world but having a healthy longevity is our top wish to grow to ripe old age to see our family tree grew is a memorable memory. therefore i conclude that health is more important than wealth although money can bring joy to us but greed one day will overcome them turning them into a demon.

Yeah,I agree with you. When I save money don't eat fruit, meat, steak, though I saved some, however my health maybe had problem. so health is important than money. We should buy food against our financial plan.

One of my colleague got stomach, he was curing now. He said he didn't take health as first important in his life until he was ill. He told us that he really want to change back health, though he spent much money now. yeah, money can buy much thing, but it can't buy our health. Take care of ourselves.

I come from a family where we weren't exactly rich, and going to the doctor was really - the last, last option.
It worked well for us, and still does. We take care of ourselves with out the perscription of some over priced anti biotic or medicine bottle.
The theory is: Doctors won't tell you anything you already know. It would of course depend on your doctor, reason why I stepped away from this theory.
I respect doctors and their opinion. Having said that, I wouldn't go to the doctor unless I've done my research, and realise it's something serious and needs to be seen by someone who knows best. - Money in this case, isn't really a smart option.

The charge is very expensive here, including diagnose charnge, medicine charnge and service charge etc. So we should take care of our body.

Hi Betty, I think that's a valid point you bring in. A lot depends where you live, and your financial status.
Many people just can't afford doctors. I guess that's why I grew up with the theory banged into my head - "Doctors won't tell you anything you don't already know"

Most of people can't afford the expensive charge from the hospital. I spent more than 100 RMB when I caught a cold two months before. yeah, sometimes we don't believe doctors, especially in private hospital.

And here in the US where the Republicans have decreed that we are to continue to have high cost health care and the corresponding high-cost insurance, it is now a balancing act, between greedy doctors wanting as much money as they can make and what is the truth, and what they can actually fix.
It always chills me to the bone, signing my name to the statement that the treatment is not guaranteed. It may, or it may not. And I am to just throw away more than half my savings for the chance. If not all. The doctor or hospital gets the money anyway. Some compassion that is.

People can get more chance to cure and save some if they are ill if have high cost insurance. In our country, it started to carry out the measure. However it wasn't much. And it should on basis of factory's support, like my current factory, which don't support part of the charge, so the workers don't get any medical treatment benefit, we should pay the whole charge to hosptial. If we have the medical insurance,we only afford 30% or 50% of the whole charge. That's the big difference.Hope everyone can get the insurance guarantee.

Not to all people, if you happen ask a person from slam area. And ask them what will they choose "health or Money" ? They will answer you back that "health" is indeed important than money. Why? because they are happy seeing themselves healthy even without money. We cannot also blame some people, most those unfortunate who cannot afford to go to a hospital or clinic. They just ignoring what they feel, because they dont have enough money to see a doctor. And their mind set was, spend that money to what they think is important to them, like their son/daughter tuition fee.

I grow up in an environment where money is an issue and professional medical attention gets costly. It is not like money is more important than health, rather, there isn't enough to save even for themselves.
I believe it is the person himself that knows first, if there's something wrong with himself, it's just that it is only in the near critical condition do they ask help. Medical assistance becomes the last resort.
It's those well-to-do people who I wish who'd take care of their health more rather than physical appearance or getting more rich.

I think that the best things to have in life are good health, good luck and happiness. A person that has very bad luck it not going to be all that happy. A person that has good luck might feel really happy. Good health is very important because if in pain money will not be able to solve that problem. Say it the person gets cancer no amount of money can let the person stay alive.

well some people are just too poor that's why they choose not to see a doctor, while some of them are just scared , too scared, to face the truth, to know about their real illness. i also don't get the logic of it, but that's pretty much the explanation they always come up with .... i know some people who are like that.

The main reason is poor, I think so. My grandmother doesn't eat any piece medicine in all of her lives. She said the the body will have lean if eat medicine, she didn't see any doctor, she was so obstinate. When younger was ill, the first emergency was see doctor. We should cherish our lives.Though poor life, we should keep a good health body to earn more.

Health is important than money...but for a few special condition, money can be more important than health. It is when you work harder to get money and save your son from his sickness. That's a special condition...but for a general condition, I will prefer health than money :)

I agree to that. Health should be prioritized first because if health will flunk down, your money will slowly diminish too. A lot of people are saving and not even buying vitamins or supplements for their health. And once they are admitted to the hospital, their saved money will be gone in one single snap.
Due to our technology, many people now die at young age. As early as 40's, millions or billions of people acquire degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart attack, diabetes, and even more. Because of this, we should also allot a budget for our health and not only for our needs and wants for living a comfortable life.

Sad to say, that's a yes. Most of us tend to see money being more important compared to our health. In this competitive world, money is everything. While the poor can't afford to be sick because of the high medical bills, thus everybody is working hard for money. Just look at the 3rd world countries, the people are suffering all kinds of diseases yet they are too poor to afford treatments.
When one gets rich, all the more they won't stop working for they know the kind of luxury they are able to enjoy and they don't want to give it up. As time passes, their health suffer yet they know money can them whatever they need, including treatments, but they don't realize that they can't buy time.

Health is much more important than wealth. Without our health, we would not be able to make the money that makes us healthy. If you not health, what good is having a lot of money? If you have a dealdy disease that there is no cure for, having tons of money is not going to do you any good, will it? Sure, you have lots of money to pass onto your loved ones, but do you really think your loved ones only want your money, not you in their lives.

Iam not at all in favour of earning money at the cost of one's health. As it is rightly said health is wealth. If a person is not physically fit even he earns lakhs and lakhs of money he will not be able to enjoy it merrily if he is unwell and unfit.Yes I agree money can buy much clothes, substance but money cannot buy real inner satisfaction and warmth of love in relationships.Money can give outer happiness but inner happiness lies in being healthy both physically and mentally.I would like few people to understand the worth of love and good health above money.I hate people who only value money and nothing else.,

Is this argument to vague as to gain proper solutions to the health problem its going to cost money, am i right. Money does buy a lot and at some stage or another everyone is going to buy, money isn't the issue i believe you are talking about here rather than copious and unecessary amounts of money.

I go to the doctor as a last resort and I rarely get a positive result. I have osteo-arthritis and it has never been officially diagnosed so even though I have lost a lot of my mobility, I'm not being treated for my condition, except for the treatment I have chosen for myself. It seems to me you have to go to the doctor these days armed with the information so you can tell the doctor what your condition is so he can treat you and they charge you heavily for the priviledge.

For me, medical insurance is pointless. I receive medical treatment for free. If there is an emergency and I'm hospitalised, I receive treatment as required and I'm not charged. If I want to have a certain procedure of my choosing I have to pay for it but I have to wait anything up to 2 years to get the treatment.
If I pay for insurance I'm even worse off because I actually pay twice...I pay my insurance, then I pay the doctor, then I get some, not all my money back...that's ridiculous.
There is no real benefit to having insurance. In an emergency, I will receive the same care as someone without insurance. If my doctor is off duty then I have whoever is on duty. If I want a procedure done, I still have to wait though maybe not as long because I can go to a private hospital...the gap fees are very expensive though and I doubt that I would be covered totally by insurance for anything.

Do you have medical insurance? In my country, if we have medical insurance, we can save 30% for medicine fee. now I don't have this. Hope your osteo arthritis are better soon and lived a happy and health life.Best wishes.

I have to balance the two importance between money and health. Somehow, it takes money to go see a doctor whenever we have health problems that may be related to diseases or injuries. It takes money to buy foods that would provide us a nutritious and healthy lifestyle. It takes money to buy the things that we want and need just to enjoy life. Through these hard times, is tough for us to have these things because of the need for money in order to pay the price. It is hard to live in a world where money has to be the humongous factor, but health is our most important gift in this world. I wish money had never existed in this world because it damages people's mentality and leaving the needy to suffer in pain.

Hi Peppersquirrel, you are so kind. I really hope people can live a happy life, and don't restricted by money. However it seems impossible for all the people. Like me, sometimes I felt very despressed if I spent much money to have food, bought clothes,I try to release myself and know the health is very important than money after discussing the money and health questions. If one people lose health, who never can earn much money, so I will be proper to eat nutrient food. Thank you and best wishes.

That's the way lots of people thing. However, it is true that no body can bring their wealth together with them when they die. So, whats the point of having lots of money but you don't have the joy to spend them. Saving is important, but we must safe ourselves in order to earn more money and to spend all the money owned.
All the best to you and hope you will have both wealth and health :D

Some people can become skeptik, like me, when seeing a doctor. Unless you get to have your own family doctor who knows your history, then it pays to have knowledge in home remedies. My daughter started to have allergies in strawberries and some food when she was prescribed an antibiotic which was found to have an allergic reaction to her. So, when I approach a new doctor, I get his diagnosis and prescription and then find home remedies from the internet :)

Money is certainly something which is often discussed in today's world.is clearly illustrated by the fact that, the majority of deaths due to hypothermia each winter occur among low-income
groups. many people claim that one of the factors in life
, which is undoubtedly of greater importance than money
health.although there are those who would rank money as the single most important thing in life, the vast majority would disagree. Money, they argue, has an important part to play but perhaps the world would be a more harmonious place to live in if this were kept in proportion and society put more emphasis on moral issues.Money is not the most important thing in life . . . . .^_^
