Hi, everyone.. As far as i can remember when i was a kid Teachers were like God. whatever they do were pure and we try to act like them.. our respect to them were nothing less than worshiping them. now as everything became advanced and now living my life as a teacher i find that the students have less respect for the teachers. knowledge wise they are better than what i was before. my question to everyone... adults as well as students is 'tell me something how you feel abut your teachers'

There is a similar situation about the feelings of children towards their parents. In the eyes of the child his*her father and mother are perfect humans, like God. They know everything and they are the best. They also need their unconditional love and care because they cant take care of themselves. But as they grow up this perfect image of their parents gets diminished like the image of their teacher. (Their teacher is like their second parents at least it was so for me.) They begin to create their unique identity while they grow up and dont do and see what their mothers, fathers and teachers say as the perfect law of God.

There aren't much differences between the students of this generation and the students of my generation. I see the difference between this generation and the students who studied in seventies. I believe we always change and what we see as disrespect towards people changes as well. For example here, asking questions about the lesson in the classroom by students or talking to teachers outside the classroom were seen as disrespect in the past. But it has changed. These are some positive changes I think. What I can't accept from a student is violence, physical or verbal. I hear the instances of these at some schools.

asking questions are very much encouraged but they way they behave or the violence they create is way out of a student's standard i think.. they have all the latest gadgets n all.. do you think even parents have something to do with that?

I find it too sad to see that teachers are less respected by our students these days. The new generation isn't just the same as before. We really have high respects for our teachers for they are the ones who has helped us succeed and also they are part of where we are now. If it wasn't for their kind hearts and patience of teaching, i think i won't be having more knowledge now and not know anything about life.
