Hi,
In order to have a good relationship in a family, spending time
together is the most effective way.
For my family, my parents have 4 kids and we all have our own
families. But we still have very close relationship with each other.
I am the youngest in my family ,I have been staying far away from my
family for the past 15 years, however, it did not affect my relationship
with them. What I can say,it even bring our relationship getting
more closer to each other.
We do keep in touch almost every month ,sometimes I do chat with my sister or
my brother on Facebook.
I do visit my parents and my siblings once a year ,together with my husband
and my son.
It is also good to have a short getaway together with your family.
It will bring the relationship even closer, as you guys got more time to
spent together adn to understand each other better.
Or try to organize simply party at home, invite all siblings, it will be even more
fun.
The most important for a family is always have a bonding moments with
each other.

Bonding at home is one thing. Bonding outside is another. I don't know the exact difference between the two but i'm sure it does different things to family members.

Giving time with family is the greatest key to keep family relationships intact. Find time to bond with each of your family members despite your busy life. And then find ways to have all the family members in one occasion and try to find out what bonding time is good and is shared and love by most of your family members. Our bonding time with my whole family is going out to the beach..at least we do it ever now and then and we all find time to be there despite our busy schedules.
