reunions

It's always nice to attend school reunions. It is a time to update on each other's current status, work, hobbies etc. It also involves reminiscing of countless good and bad memories at that time, laugh over teenage craziness as well as teacher's mannerisms. However, it is also a moment of hesitation whether to go there or not especially one can meet people from the past that give one awkwardness or uneasiness because maybe they bullied him way back then...or maybe inferiority complex sets in since he may feel being left out when it comes to other classmates achievements...how about you? do enjoy attending reunions or there is a time that you hesitated to go?

I really would love to go to reunions, but i too have some hesitations. It's not because i feel awkward with a few of my classmates before or anything that happened in the past, it's just that i still don't have a stable job and i don't think i can face them with nothing but just the same old me. I wanted to prove something for myself first before i go attend our reunions.

Hi gaiza! I hesitate to go, too. In fact I seldom attend reunions. For the few times I went I observed that (I really hate to sound a sourpus) , but this is what i see) friendships don't get to be re-established. It is a time where one can see where you are now, how you are now, and what's with you now and that's it. Same groups or cliques gather. I still see my cliques here so what's the point? But this is not to say I have given up on reunions. I just wish the organizers could do better than they have done so far and make reunions really meaningful.

I have never attended any of our reunions yet, but i thought of what you said will happen most probably and i don't want to go to an event which i know will only be something everyone will be gossiping afterwards on the things that has happened and is happening to one of your classmates or friends.

There are many people who say, "I'd prefer not to go to the class reunion because I'm not the same person as I was then. A lot of people will spend weeks preparing for their class reunion. They'll go on diets, dye their hair and other various things to improve the way they look. This sort of things does not affect me one bit because we all have to face age head on. In my opinion, class reunions are fantastic and they are important to my heart and soul. The sharing, closeness, friendship for each one of them could never be replaced in my life.

yES i DO , ITS REMEMBERING OLD TIMES. oNE MUST EXPERIENCE SUCH, BECAUSE ITS A GOOD THING, YOU WILL HAVE A CLOSURE OF UNFINISHED THINGS THAT ONE MIGHT BE HAVING IF THE PERSON OR ANOTHER PERSON IS PRESENT.

I recently attended my 25th reunion and I must say that I throughly enjoyed it! I talked with others that I hadn't spoken to in many years and people that I never would have talked to in school as I thought that they were better than I was. Now I don't care if someone has more money or anything than I do as I have what makes me happy.

I very much like to go to the reunions as often as I could. I do keep in touch with many of my classmates, by phone and by emails. But, we rarely get to see one another, most of us living far from one another. So, the reunions are execellent opportunities to meet one another again, after some long years, and bring back the memories of the good times we had together.

Last year I am always attending our high school reunion. Since them I could communicate with them a lot especially to the long lost classmate. However I have a bad experience like my classmate which was a guy who's been my seatmate before did something rude on me when he was drunk that I was even shocked and can't believe that he can make it. From now on I have decided that it is time for me not to go on that since I could have bad memories.

Last year we have school reunion. But i didn't attend coz i'm very far from them and no time go back home. They post all the photos in facebook and i saw it. I was jealous. Because they are so happy. But then they told me that there's a part two. This coming Dec., and i can't wait on that. I miss my classmates.

Attending reunions is fun especially when the people you'll be mingling with have shared good memories with you in the past. But you can't do away with jealous people in the group especially when the reunion is not just contained to one class but more than 3 classes or sections. when I stopped believing in the cause of high school homecoming, I contained myself to attending small gathering from then on - specifically get together with classmates who have been close friends of yours.

As long as I'd like to, we haven't had reumions yet with my old classmates.. Well, maybe it's just too early for us to have reunions. I'm just 23 anyway. But I'm really curious about what is happening in an occasion like that, how old friends react when they saw each other after a long time, how they were so excited to tell stories about their life after schooling. It feels like so exciting! I wish I could attend one on one of these days.
