When I am a child, I pierced my ears

I remember I was a child, only eight years old, my accompaniers there five girls together went to a old grandma house, and requested her can help us to pierce our ears.When we were young, we love beauty too. lol. First, the old grandma didn't want helped us, because she said you were so younger that you can't pierced ears. After our requested and requsted, she promised. All of girls were scared and surprised to pierce ears, however with curious, none of us can be first one to pierce, at that time, I standed up and asked first one. I had impressed this, the old grandma took a very thin pin, and used her hands rub my ears tightly, then stabbed my ears with the thin pin, my tears flow,I felt very ache. The grandma used a ring to wear my ears.One by one, the five girls weared the similar ring use this way to pierce. Which was my impressed experience to pierced my ears, now I didn't wear anything, however the hole isn't block, if I want,I can wear the ring at any time. Where I come from all girls get their ears pierced at the hospital when they are newborns, as it heals really quickly, in a few days, unlike when you're an adult, when it can take months to heal.
Of course, as I was a newborn baby I don't remember if it hurt or not at that time, neither what whas the method, but I think it's a good idea to take advantage of the quick healing that newborn bodies have.

it is in our tradition that when we get our ears pierced at the age 3 or 4.
I got mine then. i still have them. It feels good to know the people are now actually doing it for fashion stuff when i actually got it out of mandatory.

My Dad did not allow me to get my ears piereced until I was 16 years old when a pen pal sent me some ear rings, just because. My Dad always use to say.."If God wanted you to have holes in your ears, he would put them there!" Oh yeah, my Dad would refer to that statement often! I don't wear ear rings much anymore, though my ears are still piereced and I think ear rings are very pretty.
