i keep some instant foods in my cabinet. just in case, i come to a tight budget, i'd prepare some noodles or canned goods easily. at least it's not everyday that i take in instant noodles or canned goods. it's not healthy. but also, at times, it's already too late to go out and buy fresh foods to cook and it will still take much time for preparation and cooking.

yeah. because lots of instant foods are preserved with a lot of salt. even the noodles contain a lot of salt. it's tasting having just enough saltiness though but it is actually high in sodium.

you are right ivo. but you actually meant instant food (and not canned noodles). anyways, the noodle itself already contains salt from its preparation. and the seasoning contains even more salt. worse, the seasoning has a lot of monosodium glutamate (msg). very bad.

Yes you are right, instant noodles are really not healthy. I too eat only instant foods when im soooo hungry and its too late to go out to buy ready cook foods. That's why they are called instant because we won't be using a lot of effort and time in preparing it :D

true. honestly, even if i have the chance to go out, i just feel lazy too. so i grab a corned beef or sardines and that's it. but after that, i tend to feel like, i should have gotten out and got something fresh. lol. it's silly being lazy.

I do not cook meals. In fact cooking is some thing I am not good at all. I go to restaurants for lunches and dinners. But, on some days, I get back home very late in the night. So, I have to keep some instant food items at home for those nights. Yes, noodles, different kinds of soup, and so on, things that can be prepared by just pouring hot water. Some of those instant foods are very tasty too.

I am eating that when I can't find something else to eat. Other than that if that is for snack. I am eating instant noodles with soup whenever I am having my migraine. As much as possible I am not eating that so often because I know it is not healthy that we can't get any nutrients from it.

My idea of instant food is chocolate breakfast cereal that is tasty enough to be eaten straight out of the packet. No milk, no sugar, no bowl, no fuss!

Haha, I like to eat instant noodle, it is delicous, but I don't like to eat it daily or more than 2 times a week becasue it think it is not so good for my health. At home, my mom cooking very well. I have a lot of chance to eat the delicous food and good for health. I prefer to eat cook food than instant food.

well, i guess you have to watch how your mom cook then. because sooner or later you will find to live on your own and cook for yourself. that's how i learned cooking. i used to disturb my mom in her cooking. and later, she let me do it while instructing me. so now, i don't need to refer to a cook book.

i usually do not eat instant food. but if i am really hungry at work and there is no way i could get myself a food to eat and there is only one option - i would then be eating instant noodles. i usually make it a point that i would only eat 'em at least once a week.

if i have to end up with a noodle, at least i add a little slices of cabbage or any vegetable just to balance its nutrient a bit. most of the time, i add one egg. that makes me happier too. but at work, these are not available of course. :D

Yes, it is indeed not good to consume too much instant food, but once again, even I can't help it. I stored lots of instant noodles and sardines. Both are my favorite instant food. I do not consume it too often though, only at night if I have to work until morning.

it's good to store some of these foods especially in times of calamities. at least it's multi purpose. when you suddenly feel hungry or when bad weather comes that you can't go out of your place because of flood or typhoon. take care.

thanks for sharing too. i have a jar of oats with me. i think this is also a healthy choice. it's as easy preparing as the other instant foods as well. what i'd do to the oats, the usual mixing with fresh boiled water, and i put half a seasoning cube with a choice of chicken, beef or vegetable flavor. it tastes like porridge. haha. sadly, pork flavor is not available in the place where i am now. :(

when i worked in dubai for 1 year we were not allowed to go out that often and food are delivered to our room so i always keep instant noodles in my box so if i dont like the food, i'd still have something to eat.
