buying a movie for streaming

I have been wanting to watch all the star trek movies eventually,and I recently saw that amazon sometimes has the video on demand version of some of them for $3.99. I am tempted to buy them at that price, but something feels odd about buying them and not having a dvd in a case to put on my shelf. What do you guys think of buying a movie that only exists in digital form as a download or for streaming?
