twobits Oh, forgot to mention Aereo. If you happen to live in NYC this lets you watch over the air tv live, free for one hour. The main use of it is as a dvr though. This costs $8 a month. They are supposed to be rolling out in more cities soon.

twobits Rabbit tv does not let you watch regular tv. It says it lets you watch internet tv. Thing is you don't need a device to let you do that. All they are selling you is the dongle to act as protection to make sure their program that aggregates the video feeds on...

twobits I have been taking a break from WoW and instead playing some of the free to play games such as Runes of Magic and Entropia. I do have some ways to make money to use the cash shop in these though that would also work for WoW. I guess you just gave me a topic...

As I felt the reason for the slow down of my laptop is the overhearing, I installed a software called "Mobile meter" (which is freeware) in my laptop..Now the software shows that the temperature of the CPU is around 45-50 degree...

twobits I said to check the ram/swap space usage, not the cpu usage. In fact you will become IO not CPU starved once you start swapping. Also, you and everyone else is still focused on heat, but the numbers you posted do not indicate overheating at all!

twobits I use legal copies, most of the time by sticking to one of the many ones that are offered for free by their maker. Occasionally I will also set someone up using the AV that came with their computer or that they can get from their ISP.

twobits What you want to use it for matters, even at $1000 you need to make tradeoffs. What is best depends on your needs, gaming, developing, portability, etc.
