The Earth Is Having Fever, How Long Can The Earth Stand?

Can you imagine what will it happen if a person is having a prolong fever? I believe if the person is blessing by God, he will also probably burnt his brain. If it was you, I believe you will never want it to happen on you, right? But do you know that what we all did today, actually indirectly affect her...the Earth.
The Earth's temperature is increasing every year, but we only off the light once a year (on the Earth Day April 22). Do you think we have done enough for the Earth?
The scientist have done a calculation that even though we off all the light once a year, the global warming will still continue for sometime. If human still do not want to make some changes, then many things might change like below:
If temperature increase
1ºC : Wild animals will extinct, and the ecology will be out of control (certain of it will extinct)
2ºC : 30% of animals, plants will extinct
3ºC : 30% seashore will be flooded, hundred million of peoples will have no water to use.
4ºC : African lowland delta will having big flood
5ºC : More than 40% plants will extinct
6ºC : Human and most of the animals will extinct
What do you think, do you think you have done enough to save the earth? Let start to do something today!

if you see the wrld are facting and i dont think over 2012 go more far, because all days have some crashes in the world, see haiti, next chile, next a lot water displacement, is the first time in the history a a lot stuff do the same in a short time, maybe because the owrld is over? what you think?

I understand what you're trying to say, I don't think the world will be over if we all take action now and do something to save the earth. Yes, there have been many incidents happen recently and there are more to come I believe. Earth quake, volcano eruption, big flood and tsunami. It will stop one day when up to certain extend.
Sorry to tell you that I don't speak Spanish and I can't speak Spanish. I think the main language in mylot is English. This will be the international language here.

thx bro, well, i try to speak english in this site, but well, chile is move 3m over the original position, and haiti, still earthquake, the moon are geting smallest, damit a lot event are succed and is a hard dont believe, sometime happenend, or somethings can happend in a near future 2012... well. i hope i am a craziest man, and dont happend nothing i am only 23 years old...

A noble thought to start the day with.
I am a person who is trying to contribute towards this. I think the term is Green Earth. I do not use my own vehicle to communicate and prefer public transport instead. I also have replaced out old bulbs, tubelights with those new CFL bulbs that are supposed to cut down the Carbon Emission. At my office, after a long persuasion we have now using only Business Cards when it comes to printed material, we have been using only digital stuff for nearly everything else.
I believe we all have a responsibility towards the Earth and should take individual steps to save it instead of waiting for the Political leaders to take any solid initiative towards this.

Hi Thesids,
It is nice to knowing someone like you that really working on it. I believe to change our habit to save the earth is difficult, but if we never start to put it into action, it will be forever just some topic on the paper. Our government have decided to stop the production of filament light bulb and after few month I have not seen any actual action is carry out. This is quite sad to say that they only talk and never do.

Your company should be grand an award for turn into a digitalizes company. At least it save the trees. And less jungles will be demolished. Just hope that more and more company will follow and do the same.

True that the politicians are not doing their part when it comes to saving the planet. In my country more specifically, my state, we are chasing modernization and a part of that includes felling of trees for expansion of roads. weird as it is and on the other hand they publish so much on Save the Planet!
This made me realize that it would be unwise to depend on them to do something really concrete. So why not try to give what I can.

hi yspmyl we all must and can do a lot more. We can start by reforesting and not cutting down so many trees. we can force
factories to cut down onb the crap their plants spew out into
the atmosphere. We can cut back on the smoa our own cars produce.
we can pick up garbage a nd not throw garbage into our water ways.
we can cut back on plastic sacks by using paper sacks. we can all dod these simple things and also save on electricity by simply switching off lights in rooms not in use.

Yes, that is what we all should do to save the earth, but it seem to be easier to say than do. human are more tend to be not doing all these thing and thinking that why not let others to do it first. They did not find it urgent to do it since they don't really feel the danger is near to them, they will never start to do it if they don't see it in front of them. In Chinese proverb: You will not cry if not seeing the coffin. It mean someone will not be scare if they did not see it. I believe many people are aware of this and they know what to do but just didn't do it. It is sad to say even the petroleum or gasoline company are claiming that their fuel are more environment friendly. What the hell! Which fuel are environmental friendly? There is no such thing, and they are the main culprit who contributor most to the carbon emission!

Well, this is really one of the cause, but it seem like it is not possible since you will need computer to compute many data in order to save the earth and environment. Just like your fart actually will caused global warming, so do you think you can stop farting? LOL

The main reason I would have to disagree to this is because haven't these same scientists told us that the Earth has gone through periods of unusually high and low temperatures. In fact in many parts of the US there have been record low temperatures this past year. If in fact the Earth was heating again, why would this be any worse. Life is resilient. Many people and scientists underestimate the adaptability of the Earth and it's many inhabitants.
When the Earth cools off Al Gore will just blame the success on the change in peoples lives. This is just using the ignorance of the public to make a profit. Think about it, a normal water bottle made with less plastic is now named an eco-plastic bottle. The company is making money from the people who buy this over the other brands because it is more evironmentaly friendly. They raise the price and kkep the profit on the use of less plastic. I just look forward to "Global Cooling". This is my opinion and feel free to disagree the only way to see is to wait.

You might be correct, there are some unethical peoples are using this excuse to make profit, I believe in anyway there will be someone who always think of how to make profit out of something. Just like you are joining mylot now, what is your motive to join mylot? To earn some money right? It is the same for all human kind, when there is opportunity, there will be greedy people.
Talk about the global warming, it is actually happening now and you can actually feel it. In the last 10 year we still can play outdoor without feel the pain under the sun, but today, I can feel that the skin is pain when exposes to the sun shine for just a few minutes. This is the fact and no one can denied. There will be exception where some of the place have different effect where the place became cold. In fact I have recently watch a documentary shows that the whole Earth will be cool down when there is gigantic volcano eruption and when the ashes are thick enough to cover the whole stratosphere, the earth temperature will goes down for few year until the ashes drop back to the earth. That is what you call it "Global Cooling". I think this might going to happen, you can actually see many long sleeping volcano are now awake again with smoke comes out from the mouth of the volcano.
