I've fallen asleep at work. I woke up on my own. I took about a 30 minute nap. There was a guy that I used to work with that took 2 hour naps at least onece a week. He got written up about it once but he didn't seem to care he still took his nap.

Sometimes I get sleepy while working, but not to the point where I already fell asleep. The one who I usually catch sleeping is my boss XD

No, I've never fallen asleep at work, but I have felt sleepy at work before.
I did catch someone sleeping that shouldn't have been, but it wasn't at work. It was at school, many many years ago! LOL
Happy mylotting!

Yes, I did but only one time. Thank goodness a friend of mine woke me up. So no one else knew I fell asleep. He was very discreet about it and did not tell anyone that I had fallen asleep which was cool of him. Of course I had been working a lot of hours at work so it was work's fault that I was so tired in the first place, but still it is not a good thing to get caught sleeping while at work.

Well, since I am a dispatcher aka call taker for a cab company I can honestly say that at least at this job I can say I have fallen asleep a time or two, and have also caught others who have fallen asleep. Especially back when I used to work the grave yard shift it often happened to where someone fell asleep for sure. Most of the time I have been able to catch myself and keep others from catching me, but there have been a few times where I have been caught as well. I guess the days or times it is boring, there has been nothing else to do?

I had worked around four to five years at night shift. Usually I take nap around 10 to 30 minutes at night. They do allow us to take a nap during the night shift. I think when people take a sleep for 5 to 10 minutes people get refreshed.

I remember the days when I used to constantly fall asleep at work! I used to work twelve hour shifts on nights and it was really laborious on the eyes. I tried getting on with study whilst I was working and I was kind of hoping that this would help keep me awake but it didn't work! I was working as a security officer, monitoring cctv cameras and so forth! It sounds quite serious, the fact that I was falling asleep whilst working on nights but my days as a security officer are well and truly over!
There were a bunch of us guys that use to nod off at work, we couldn't help it. I found it hard to sleep during the day as there were workmen drilling away next door and getting on with household improvements. So, as a consequence of this my nightshift was the only time that I could get some sleep. I'm just glad that I exited the security industry when I did! Andrew

I did fall asleep at work at my night job. It was "graveyard shift", and believe me, they don't call it graveyard for nothing. I was sitting in front of the computer. We did not have regular breaks every half-hour or so as doctors recommend for circulation, so it was easy to fall asleep when things were quiet.

I have taken a nap while working not really falling asleep, that was when i was assigned on night shifts then. And we work by partners so when our eyes become really heavy we would take turns to take a nap. It's ok just as long as we were not caught by our boss.

I fall asleep at work when I had nothing to do. My work was not constant. Especially after having my snack I felt a sleepiness and put my head on the desk and fall asleep. I was alone in my office. I caught some of my work fellows asleep but I understood them quite perfectly.

I have set it up so that it is acceptable to sleep while I am at work. In fact I just woke up from a nap. I own/operate Laurie's Flea Market and Auction House in Milton Freewater, Or and I have workers that tend to the customers if I need a rest. I am considered disabled because I am bipolar and it affects my ability levels. Some times I can do just about anything and other times I can't even tie my shoes. When I started the Flea Market I was testing whether or not I could maintain the operations of the Market. Most people here know me and are not surprised to see me sleeping in my big recliner chair while here at the Market. In fact, they are very understanding when they realize that it is just what I need to do to keep going. I don't recommend this unless you have a boss that understands your needs and is willing to make exceptions for you. For me, I am the boss, so it's all good.

Good evening dear Ladym33 , well actually a few years back ago , when i had barely started to work , back in roumania , i had started working at a imprimerie , its a factory like a presse , who is manufacturing the newspaper and books , and i had to work one week in the morning , then the next week in the evening , and then the third week was during the night , but the night team was finishing the work ( what we had to do ) around 3 am and untill 6 am in the morning the time that we finished our program we used to either go and buy something to drink and play some poker for the rest of the night , either we used to search for a place more quietly and a little bit of comfort and make something that looked like a bed and sleeped there for the rest of the night. It was pretty cool , but to be honest the pay , the salary was really low , but it was either this either nothing at all , so i had almost no choice , and plus it was really close from home , i used to make ten or twelve minutes untill i had reached the factory court.
Anihow thats my story , hoped it was interesting.
Have a nice evening dear friend.
