Having a good day

LONG, but good.
I woke up just after 6:30 a.m.
Since I went to bed around 11, I got a good bit of sleep and was really ready to get up, besides, the dogs were ready to get up (actually that's what woke the roommate up, the dog needing to go out.)
So, we feed the cats, get dressed and head off to do our shopping.
We hit Walmart at 7, Randalls at 8, Joanns at 9 and Sam's at 10.
After lunch we ran by to treat ourselves at Goodwill.
A friend from out of town came by and we visited with her for about an hour and a half or 2 hours, then got dinner and visited another Goodwill.
Now, the reason we felt we could treat ourselves to Goodwill visits are what we did when we were at the house - and it wasn't on here earning money, in case you didn't notice my not being around.
But that's another discussion all together!
So, you get to shop till you dropped today?
I would've probably not be dropping so much without all those other things we did!

At least one of us had a really fantastic day but really I just now had a fantastic evening as my son was here visiting me and talking and of course on the computer too.He had just bought himself a laptop as where he is staying his desktop computer is ca using dissension. He is thinking of finding a one bdroom apt for awhile til he amasses enough money to move the both of us into a two bedroom apt. one step at a time. any way I love these visits as they take the irritation of living here out of my mind for awhile. I miss our old life with a two bedroom apartment shared by we two. but fate dumped us out and spat us up so we must start over.At least he is working now, while so many here in Southern Ca orange county are out of work yet. so things are not all bad for us eit her, I just had a bad night last night and had to go back to bed this morning to get enough sleep. hope today I will really sleep well after seeing my son.by the way I love to shop at Good will when I was first married we had not a lot of money but we f ou nd some really great pieces of furniture that someone had dumped at Good Will that looked almost brand new and top drawer stuff too. A lot of people seeingour finds thought we had much more money than we really did. we did not tell them we bought all that for next to nothing. lol.,

Yeah, we've found some prizes at Goodwill, we got a nice little table for the kitchen for under $25 a couple of months ago and I found some AWESOME craft stuff today on our second trip.
The roomie found a few cds on the first trip, I think, and a cute ceramic cat and I found a cute concrete cat.

I've been stuck in the house for the past couple of weeks as we have been having controlled burns to control a forest that has been growing riot after last year's abundant snows. My asthma and smoke don't like one another!

As for money, I've not had shopping bling for a while. The last shopping bling I had I spent on some work out pants a couple months ago at Goodwill.

Wow, you were busy, busy, busy!
You had a great day and sounds like you had fun too! I love going into any of the thrift shops. When I had some extra money, and working, I use to look for items to do my crafts with and refinish them. I loved it. I'm sort of stuck between a rock and a hard spot right now. Anyways, I can't wait to see your other discussion on why you treated yourselves.
I worked on that little mini candle all day and finally got it done. Not quite the way I wanted but good enough as I didn't have what I wanted on hand here at the apartment. I tried, and I kid you not, over 10 times to start a discussion and put a photo on myLot and it keeps coming up with "unable to post content, please modify your text to only include letters, numbers, and standard punctuation"...I'm at a loss. There is nothing wrong with the discussion and I've read it over and over to try and figure out what they were talking about. I can't find one thing so I'm at a loss as what to do. If you got any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
Anyways, I like long shopping days, and so miss them, haha. Just getting out of the apartment is fun to me but accomplishing everything you did in one day is super cool.

I hate to shop! The only shopping I usually do is grocery shopping. Then I use one of those electric carts and I still hate it. There is no way I could have done as much shopping as you did. It sounds like you had a long day, and you just got over being sick. I thought that was why you haven't been around. What were you doing to earn extra money?

Cool that's nice really good your day is going good mine isn't so much because I am starting to get sick and I want to do all that I can to stop from getting sick because my throat hurts and there has been a flu going around and I think that I caught it from my dad so I feel horrible today and I want to get well so that we can all go to universal for his birthday this Saturday and I don't want to be the one that will ruin it just because I am sick. My dad is also trying to get better and I will try my very best to make sure that everyone is feeling well.

Having a good day is getting hard day by day as we are getting too much busy in our jobs that we hardly get time for ourselves.

Wow, I could not handle that much shopping, I do not think. I would have liked to have done more last night but did not. I did sleep really well last night, and did not get up for the bathroom or anything until 5 a.m. I was in bed around ten, I think. I slept more after five. I sent hubby and son to get rid of some furniture that was basically trash, the cats have ruined it. Their orders after that were to go get a bunch of bagged garden soil at Wal Mart as they have it reduced to $1 per bag. I mowed the front yard and worked on trying to level out the lawn from the new waterline in May. I brought a few plants indoors. Treated the guys to Pizza Hut, and shopped for tomorrow's lunch and some other stuff, including a queen size sheet to cover the futon sofa, so that the drooling cat does not ruin it. He really likes it a lot and looks peaceful sleeping on it. We did Sam's Club last night, and dropped a box at the Goodwill.
