What will you do in your boss' birthday?

if it is his birthday, it is just the same day as it is. it is normal and would be the same as everyone else's birthday

Getting a birthday cake on a birthday instead of gifts and present is always a good idea. This is what I feel in such cases. Because, I think we should not bring items having monetary value as far as professional relationships are concerned. If at all you want to gift him, then gift him as a group and not individually. You can get a really useful item for you boss. Communicate your boss's spouse about likings of your boss so that you can get a really good one. If you boss is not married you can talk to his/her friends, co collegues or family member, whomsoever that is possible for you. Happy Birthday to your Boss, anyways.

We too buy cake for our boss on his birthday. My boss just don't like big parties and so he doesn't even celebrate his birthday. And i guess the cake you will be buying for your boss will be greatly appreciated. It's the thought that counts and not the most expensive gift that one can give.

I think that would be better than each one of you thinking of an individual gift. When our boss had his birthday, we contributed money and had a mini-party at the office.

the boss' birthday is a hard one,i've only ever bought 1 boss a present and it was diabetic chocolate,coz i didn't know what else to get him,i didn't know what he could and could'nt eat or drink,in my opinion you can never go wrong with a gift voucher,that way they can get something that they actually want

I think i give them a good gifts.. but i have not decided that what can i do them.. but their are so much time on their birthday.. so now i have to time for thinks taht what should i gifted to them..

I would suggest a personalized gift like a mug or a pen. sound cheezy but i'm sure he'll appreciate it, especially if you bring him coffee everyday
