It's Ber month already! Though Christmas is still far from today, but I can feel its breeze every night.. I can feel the cold wind blowing every night now.. And most of all I can feel its spirit coming closer everyday..
Though I wasn't thinking about our possible plans for Christmas because we are currently having some financial problems right now, I still feel a little thrilled just thinking about that very special day.. But the other side of me feels sad because I am worrying about things right now.. Anyway, what the heck, Christmas is going to come anyway, whether we are prepared or not..
So myLotters, do you have possible plans for your Christmas already?? Please share your ideas.. Thanks!

I will be spending my Christmas here in California like I always do. I don't like going out of town for Christmas, and I will just stay here in California for Christmas. I like being at home for the holidays.

No, I don't have any children because I'm not ready for kids yet. I have a boyfriend. We are Agnostic, so we mostly call it the Holidays, since our friends are of various religions and we don't have a religion. I know Christians and Pagans call it Christmas, so we call it that when we are around most people just because that's what everyone else calls it, but if any of my Jewish friends are around I call it Hanukkah because that is what they celebrate.

Oh I see about that.. I think it's great that you spend different Christmases depending on different religions.. I hope I can experience that too, but I don't think it's quite possible because I don't have lots of friends like you do, as I imagine it..
But anyways, however we celebrate it, I think it's still the happiest time of the year.. And everyone else would be happy for sure!

Hi Rogue,
I think that it doesn't matter whether we go out of town for Christmas, or just stay at home.. For as long as we are happy with where and whom we are with.. It's how we celebrate the day that counts.. I think Christmas mostly is for celebrating with our family and loved ones.. And remembering our dear God's birthday specially..
Celebrating The Holiday season with kids adds up to the happiness.. So will there be kids for your Christmas??
Advanced Merry Xmas, and thanks for responding..

yes, christmas is coming anyway,no matter if we're prepared or not.
but hey, don't feel bad if you have not enough money for that time cause we are still blessed to have people who truly loved us,right?
Christmas is not all about money or food that is served during that time.
it is more of giving and loving everyone who are always with us...
even people we just see walking by each of our daily lives.
well, during christmas eve,we spent the night with my whole family.
it's nice to celebrate that night with a complete family.
though the day itself,we used to go out and send the day at our greatgodmothers place every year.it is our tradition to be there and in the afternoons, that's the time we used to go out with the whole family...
how about you, dear gen? how do you celebrate Christmas season?

problems do come no matter how prepared we are or not.
same do with occasions. it's just dates anyway.but we just have to be strong no matter what, and don't feel so bad about not having enough money cause we still have something to be thankful for. we just have to strive hard for money instead...
well, that would be hard thing to do at times, but we just have to learn to live with it,since we are here on earth to learn how to face life's ups and downs.

Yup dear.. I also realized that even if we don't have that enough money, we are still blessed in other ways.. I have been immune to that. I guess every Christmas, every year, we have problems.. But it's okay,.At least we can still be happy in other ways..
We also have that tradition,we always go to grandmoms house for a mini0reunion with exchange gifts and everything.. but this year, I am hoping we'll have a different way to celebrate our Christmas.. I just don't know where or how are we going to celebrate the day.. We still have to see about that.. In as much as we love to plan about Christmas day, we can't right now..
All we can do is feel it's spirit..
Thanks for sharing dear..

I think I would be spending Christmas at home this year. My family loves heading down to Las Vegas to spend Christmas but money is sort of tight this year. I've also considered going to New York to visit my friend who moved there for school but the plane ticket is also very expensive. But it's alright, as long as I have my Christmas music and hot chocolate and my family, I would love to spend Christmas at home.

Hi there animegirl,
Nothing beats spending Christmas at home with family.. As a song goes, "it's the most wonderful time of the year" and I guess above all, we should celebrate that most wonderful time of the year with our family.. Be it a simple or an extravagant celebration.. Whichever will do for as long as we aren't alone celebrating it..
In as early as September, I am already playing Christmas songs on mornings.. It brightens my day and it makes me feel happier. Even if money is tight on us too, I guess it wouldn't matter a lot.. That very special day will come whether we are prepared for it or not.. We just have to pray and thank the Lord for giving us the chance to celebrate it again..
Thanks and happy myLotting!

It's always good to have a plan or schedule in advance. Life is a joy. Enjoying oneself does not mean spending a lot of money. Christmas is a popular holiday that all the family members should get together and enjoy themselves.

Hi there for1ever,
Yes indeed it's good to plan in advance though there will be times that what we have planned was not the thing that happens when the day comes.. Whichever plan we got, or whatever thing we do, for as long as it makes us happy, I think that's okay.. I wouldn't probably be spending a lot of money for Christmas, but I'll be ready for some gift giving and exchange gifts.. It's a family tradition already so it is expected..
I am extremely excited with the foods.. and I want to plan early on what we would have on Christmas eve..
I hope you have a happy and exciting Christmas!
Thanks for responding!

And yes, we should all enjoy the day because it's our Lord's birthday and it is extremely special.. We should thank Him for giving us the chance to celebrate His day with our family, friends, and loved ones..
We should all be happy on that day because that's what Christmas is about.. Being happy and merry and bright!

Every Christmas Eve, my husband and I host a dinner at Midnight. It is our own version of Midnight Mass. We cook seafood dishes all night long and have great conversation with the many people who now call it a tradition. It is the most important thing for my Christmas in adult life. We have been doing it for many years, and each year it grows into something more. We do not exchange gifts with people who are there so it takes the pressure of commercialism out of the whole ordeal... I too look forward to Christmas, it is a great time of year!

Hi jodylee,
I guess most people look forward for Christmas and we have our very own type of celebrating it.. The way you celebrate Christmas is nice, and I really think it's great to have some celebration like that wherein you and your family can have as many people with you during that Christmas eve..
I never wondered why it seems to be a tradition already for all of you there, because if I was your neighbor I sure will look forward to it also.. Because I can see that it's fun..
Thanks for responding..

Hi chiyosan,
It is really nice to spend Christmas with our family.. I think that's what most people do during this holiday season, I mean spend time with family and relatives and have fun and laughter and cheers, and gifts, and foods.. Everything happy! So are you and your family on an out-of-town right now? well if you are then I wish for you that you'll be home for the Christmas season..
Advanced Merry Xmas.. and let's all remember the true spirit of it.. Afterall, it's our God's birthday!
Thanks and happy myLotting!!

We will probably spend it at home with the children and a close friend of ours who is alone at Christmas. I have always wanted to do a soup kitchen, but I think we will invite people who are lonely from Church to spend Christmas with us and make it a family time.

hi there Mickie,
That's a good deed to do, and I'm happy to know someone like you who is concerned in making others happy during the Christmas.. There really are some people who are alone during Christmas, and they are lucky to have known someone like you. I'm sure you will make a big difference for them, and I'm sure God will be happy for your deeds as well..
Just continue what you are doing because the day will come that you will reap your harvest for that.. Share the happiness of Christmas to others in need of it and Good Luck.. Wish you all the best..
Thanks for your response!

I personally do not celebrate Christmas, but I sure will go out of town at that day.
Christmas will be a big holiday around my area, and some of my friends are going to celebrate it out of town after celebrating with their family. So, that will be my time to enjoy the holiday with them.
We will usually go to the mountain, enjoying fried corn or just seating around, or hire a villa to spend one or two pleasant days.

Hi Ramaditya,
I respect it if you do not celebrate Christmas..
Yes it is a big holiday..And i'm sure that day brings happiness to lots of people out there.. I hope you could have fun with them too.. good to know they spend a post-Christmas celebration also.. Because we don't usually do that.. After Christmas, we'll then be looking after the New Year..
Wow, going on a mountain? fried corn? enjoying in a villa? That's pretty awesome..
Have a Merry Christmas in advance..

My father has an ailment and we stay in Manila so by Christmas we'll be here I estimate. There's an enlightened mood every Christmas that I find unique. It's a joy to be in the season of Christmas despite being single haha. The wind would be cold by then so I will stay at home thinking about things as I relax because of the coldness. It's a time to rediscover self and root out the bad habits as well as a time to love our family.

Hi there cowboyofhell,
Sorry to hear about your father.. I hope he gets well soon.
So you are one of the SMP's (Samahan ng Malalamig ang Pasko) Haha! Never worry though.. Christmas is still far ahead, you still have time.. But don't push to it.. You'll never know, she might come to you just before Christmas..
If you will be spending your Christmas in Manila, then you should go out that day.. Don't stay home just thinking.. Here in our place there are Tiangge's every coming of Holiday Season and most people from different places visit in that place here in our city..They shop and some just go there for food trips..
Thanks for responding..

Well, I am really not sure. I know I will not be spending with any family. My parents, sister and two brothers are not alive anymore. I am the baby of the family. As far as my kids being with me, don't see it happening. My 17 year old daughter who has a 2 year old girl is living with her boyfriend. She does not have much of a relationship with the family as her father and I are devoriced. My 16 year old son is living with my Ex Mom who's husband just left her for another woman will both be moving in with my son's dad and Step-Mom once the house gets put on the market in the next October. My other son who is 11 lives in Colorado with is Adopted mom. I may just end up spending it all alone in my Two bedroom two story Government Subsidized Housing home. This will be a very hard year for me as far as Holidays go. Iam not looking forward to the hollidsays this year at all. I might be lucky if my male friend's sister, who really likes me, invites me to her home for Thanksgiving as she as done so three times in the past five years I have my male friend. She didn't want me to be alone. She even had me over to Christmas three years ago. My male friends sister always celebrates Thanksgiving and Christmas in her home with the entire family. The family consist of her, her two brothers (one being my male friend), her other sister, dad, Step mom, her son, his wife, there, son, her sisters daughter, and my male friend's two sons (one in college and the other in the Navy). I hope to be with them this Christmas. Things are not going well between my Ex mom and me like they use to be. Since her husband left, she has been very rude to me. I use to have a great bond with my son, now it is going down the tubes due to a lady in the church that is trying to mental in the families business by trying to be my Ex mom's daughter and my sons mom. Since she has been around my Ex mom's house in the past two weeks, she has destroyed my relationship with my Ex mom and my son. Now they pay more attention to her and treat me like crap. The gal doesn't like me for some reason. I think she is just jealous as I am skinny, and have a great looking guy in my life. She is really fat, has not family or friends, and lives in a small shed in a backyard of a rent house. Well, I hope to be with my guy friend and his family. I hate being alone on holidays. It is to depressing.

HI again megabiz,
I feel your struggles right now, and I am sorry that you have to undergo such difficulties in life.. I think that woman is mean.. She shouldn't do that unless she has motives for your ex-mom, and your son specially.. Well, good to know that at least you've got somebody right now who loves you, and he's good looking so that's a plus! Haha..
You shouldn't really be alone during the Holidays because it would surely depress you and that would be bad.. Celebrate that special day with your guy and some friends so that you'll be happy.. Even things are very complicated right now..
I wish happiness for you, and I hope that everything will be okay soon..
Thanks for responding and happy myLotting!

My boyfriend and I agreed that we're gonna organize our schedule for Christmas. That I'll spend it with his family in the first half of the day and then he'll spend Christmas with my family on the other half of the day. We're not that far away from each other's houses so it's possible.

Hi there lilmisfit,
Well that's a fair share of schedule you have there, and that's great.. It's good that you get to celebrate your Christmas with your guy and his family, and as well as with your family.. Since as you've said, you aren't living far away from each other, then good thing you thought of that kind of a plan for the merriest time of the year.. I'm sure that day is going to be a great day for all of you..
Good Luck and I hope that you have the best Christmas this year..

Hi there richard03,
Wow, if you are gonna spend your Christmas in your hometown province, and it is also fiesta time there, then surely it would be very enjoying.. I'm sure there will be many people celebrating Christmas there and there will be loads of foods.. watch out for your diet though, haha..
I have never experienced celebrating Christmas in a province since I was born I think. And right now I think it wouldn't still be possible for the coming years because we don't have a province we could go to since my mm has passed away already and she was the only one with a province as hometown..
I guess we'll just have to plan to visit another place instead..If we are financially able on that season..
Thanks for responding and happy myLotting!

I do have a plan for Christmas already. I'm going with my friend to Guam :). But it's still tentative because she doesn't know yet if she'll be given a visa renewal. If she doesn't get it. Then I'll try and look for somebody else to go with me. :)
