I didn't write diary until I was 18 years old. I thought writing diary wastes time although i regret yesterday. Whenever remember a memory, I realized time goes too fast. I don't remember much my past. Now I only remember little about what I did, where i was last week. And a short time later I'll forget.
I started writing diary when i was angry with my dad to lament. After some days, I was back to normal, I wrote less and now I've stopped doing it. I have no time.
What about you?

Hi BichDiep, yes its really nice to have a habit of writhing down and if one is maintioning his/her life's note its more better to do it is also just like keeping the track on one own's life just like keeping a close eye on our bank account/mylot's account.its the seriousness which signifies about ones life, you are very right to mention that when one is bit annoyed or in a lamenting mood then only one starts writhing and latter on stops it do so, but its a bad idea to do so in fact one must not do rather one must keep a motivating thoughts and the next day schedule particularly to keep on writing.
Happy mylotting.

I've always kinda kept diaries on and off, so to speak... I started when I was maybe 11-12, wrote for a couple of years, then stopped, started again after a year or two, stopped, started again, and so on... Now it's been around two years again since I last wrote anything on my diary. I guess I start all enthusiastically at first, but gradually get lazy and don't feel like writing...

It's commonly seen among many people.I've been doing the same of writting English diaries.English is my foreign language and I love to learn English. And gradually I find it a bit difficulty to learn a language because you've got thousands of words and sentence structures to master and, most importantly, nowhere to practise using it,you know the listening English.I suggest you write down something significant in daily life, somthing funny, meaningful,or memoriable to act as a motivation.Have a nice day!

Hi,
I used to write a diary when I was on my university. I just felt bored at that
point of time and started to write about my life in Singapore.
I wrote my diary almost every night before goes to bed and so far, I have three thick books of diary.
I stopped writing my diary after my busy work schedule and till now, I have not been writing diary again.
However, since I gave birth to my son and got to know some new friends, I started
to set up a blog for myself. This blog is personally about my life and anything
interesting I would like to share with my blogger friends.
I enjoy writing a blog now and I do update my blog once a week.

I think a diary i stupid, unless you're dying or something.Wonder why girls are so into it?!I don't see the point of you analyzing everything you do.And you don't want anyone to read it,so what's the point of it.And that dear diary stuff.Come on son!

First, it is not just for girls, there are many guys that keep a diary or journal (it is the same thing). Second, you said that it is a stupid thing to do unless you are dying. Well, most people do not know when they are dying, so wouldn't it be better to keep one while you are alive and healthy? Then, your loved ones can have something to remember you by when you are gone. They can even read little bits about things that you did together, it will make them feel closer to you. Of course, if you just write negative stuff, then it is probably best that they don't find it, because it will just hurt them more. Similarly, you never know when someone that you love will die, and keeping a journal helps you to remember them. It is easy to remember the big things, but a journal can help you to remember the "small" things that are also important, such as an afternoon spent talking and watching movies together. Third, diaries or journals are not all "Joey has such dreamy eyes, and Janey was mean to me today", although it is not bad if they are. Some are like "I stopped by my sister's work for lunch today. She was surprised and really happy to see me" - these types of things are the "little things that matter" when someone you love is gone, and simple entries like this can help to keep the memories alive.

We have to live well with current. We can change current and future but past we can't.

I don't keep a typical diary, but I usually ask for a calendar-type journal each Christmas. I like the calendar-type journal, because it is easier for me to just jot down a little bit each day about the things that I want to remember from that day, and I don't have to worry about getting the day or date wrong or skipping back and forth. If I remember something that I want to add to yesterday's writing, but I have already written things for today, then I can just go back to yesterday's date and add it without it being out of order or confusing. If I was using the "typical" diary, then it could get a bit confusing, especially if the entries skip back and forth.

Like you I feel like writing when I feel sad or mad. It is easier to write when I have such hightened emotions. It makes me feel better too. So don't stop witing about your sadness if it makes you feel better but don't forget to write about your happy moments to so when you read back it's not only the sad thoughts that you remember.

i write one. but it isn't a daily diary. i only write whenever something so special happens. i write everything down. my feelings that day and everything that goes around. it's fun to write on a diary if your entry is so much fun, exciting or romantic. but that doesn't usually happens everyday so i only write occasionally.
when a long time passes and you had a time to read your diary entry again, it feels so good and nostalgic. and sometimes, i laugh at myself at funny things that i wrote. it's like " i won't let anyone see this diary of mine".

There is an old saying: the palest ink is better than the best memory. It means you'd better write down the notes or diary if you don't want to forget certain things, even if you have a very good memory. My suggestion is, if I have anything or any good idea or feeling which is significant for me, I'll write it down for my future reviewing. It's kind of accumulation of spiritual weath in my life.

I didn't write diaries since my collge life. And I've been writting diaries to improve my English, which is my foreign language. And I think it's a bit easy and agreeable for me to do that because I just translate CHines meaning into ENglish and write it down, any feelings could be written since they are just literal.Have a nice day!

i dont have a diary, as in a note book to be specific. But i have a private site wherein i put my thoughts to. It's more of a personal blog, and it's funny when you read back your articles, lessons of past really make you understand who you are back then, what have changed in you, and what you have become now because of your emotions, experiences before.:)

I started keeping a diary when I was about 12 years old because my friends did it. First it was an exercise book, then it was a notebook, and now it's an online blog. My diary's the place where I throw out new ideas and write random thoughts. It doesn't take long to write.
Sometimes I write just a few short entries as a reminder of what happened that day. The funny thing is, by doing this, I actually remember the events longer. It's a pretty good snapshot of my life so far.

I always wanted to write diaries, but I never got a chance. But yeah, what I do is I sit down sometime and I think what things I have done today. And then I think what things should I do in order to stop doing the things that I am not supposed to be doing.

I write diaries since I was young and I still have it till now. But I rarely write it now, since I have so many things to do. And I can't write it anymore. But whenever I have time, I still get some times and write things down.
Diaries for me is such a memory that I will take to the end of my life. Who knows I will need it when I want to write my biography???

I have never kept a diary and pretty much have relied on my memory. I realize now that I should and should be keeping a diary/journal as life goes on so fast and there are so many things and events in life I would like to leave behind.
I have been taken for granted quite a bit in my life and have shied away from the world for many periods of time and I would like to leave some sort of writing for my children and or childrens' children someday.
Thanks for the inspiration.
