atkins diet

i went to the atkins website and got the free starter kit. has anyone been on atkins and how well has it worked for u? how much weight did you lose?

caution on the Atkins diet.....It's very high protein and very little carbohydrates. With this, there isn't the balance necessary for our bodies and if not careful will run into some health issues. Too many people have gone on it only to gain it all back plus more. It's a deprivation of essential nutriants and our bodies will not be happy and will let us know it. Try searching out other options.
Your caloric intake should be 60% carbs ( that's right carbs are the highest) I'm pretty sure the rest is 30% protein and then 10% fats...Carbohydrates in the form of veggies, fruits and whole grains are our energy source throughout the day.

ive hard that isnt a good deit to follow some people actully got sick from it..

I've been on both Atkins and South Beach and I have done well on both diets. I think that I lost 25 lbs on Atkins and 20 lbs on South Beach. The problem for me was that once I lost the weight, I found the diets too restrictive so they weren't a permanent weight loss solution for me. Good luck
