Depends on what you want to do with it. Play games - AMD much better. Apparently more stable and faster. I use Intel myself but I dont play games so not a problem for me. My two brothers, who are mad about computers, swear by AMD

AMD is actually better in performance than Intel. I saw the tests conducted by CNet. But the marketing people in Intel is doing much a better job in promoting and positioning the brand. AMD is cheaper in price as well.

many will tell you many things about AMD
but i have seen that overall AMD beats intel
and this is my personal experience.
i am an amd user for last 8 years.
