I happened to clean my old things, sorting out those that can still be used and thrown. Then, I saw my photo albums. Dusting them in and out, I can't help myself reminiscing the past. So, I decided to scan some of my cute and funny pictures with my cousins, friends and siblings. I enjoyed scanning those old pictures and I rushed in posting them all to my favorite social networking site and tag them all to my brothers, cousins and friends. What a big laugh those pictures brought to them!

Hi dear,
It was a joy and enthusiasm about 7-8 years before and I have done all at that time. Now as everything is already getting through the digital media, there is no scanning required and getting all directly into the PC. But the old ones are kept safe at that time.
Regards,
Thank-s

You're right, Thank-s! Everything is already into digital now. My 35mm camera is already been kept for several years now. I got to scan my old pictures and some of them have faded already.

Hi dear,
We should do it.
All the old photos have something to tell us. May be taken different occasions, but there may be some story behind that, especially the very old phots may be the same but suddenly we reach at the age of that photograph.
So that I have tried my best to colledt all the old ones and kept digitally intact so as to keep for ever.
Thank you for your comments.
Regards,
- thanks

What I did for my parents were to take pictures of their old photos with reflective mirror camera. That gives extra depth of the old photo as well as keeping a digitalized record. I took the photos and now it's displayed in a digital photoframe at their own home!

That's great and seemed to be a more high tech way of preserving old pictures of your parents. I'm sure it captures every visitor's eyes.

Oh yes,i had albums and i love making scrapbooks with photos.
That's the only way to preserve moments and places that we've been.
Then, scanning thru photos can make us travel with those times and reminisce the good old days
i love it,i really love scanning photos.
Have a great weekend

How fun, I do this quite a bit, it brings happy teary moments and it reminds us of the past.
My daughter a few years ago, for Mother's day, made a homemade photo album. See I do not have very many pictures of me growing up as I did not have a stable home or belongings to have treasured for years to come. A few years ago a distance family member brought over an old baby picture of me, I must have been like 4 months old. Wow that amazed me as I had never seen pictures of me as a child or as a baby.
So anyways my daugher scanned that one as the front cover then added what she thought were good pictures of me as she called it My Great Mother Evolved!
Oh she did a great job with this and I still have treasuring every bit of it.

Yes, most of the time. Sometimes you get embarrassed by how you look then and sometimes you feel very old.

If Im scanning in old pictures it is nice to see them if I haven't looked at them for a long time however if I am stuck doing it for hours and hours it tends to get a bit annoying because I catalog everything and organized everything while I'm doing it so it gets tedious

Just like you, i love scanning and looking at my old pictures. Where we all look too young, cute and it seems to be looking at someone different. I find it fun remembering the past and how unforgettable those days were. I once posted a picture of me and my 4 other sister on facebook which was taken more or less 15years ago, we were like so cute and our faces was not so recognizable. We have changed a lot now and we were just laughing at it when my sisters saw that i tagged them.

....well I'm really fond of seeing my old pictures together with my family when I'm too young.I don't imagine that things begin to change as of now..I was so cute that time but now I grow as a teenager, scanning my old pictures reminds me of my early childhood that I want to go back with.....

I like scanning them too. But I would like to do the opposite as well, that is take my digital photos, at least the really good ones, and get them printed off so that I have hard copies.

I enjoy sorting through old pictures. They can trigger some very happy memories that you may have forgotten. Sorting through old pictures is a pleasant way to hold onto these memories and treasure them.
