Do You Read Fan Fictions?

I like reading fan fictions of my favorite books and tv shows because I like to know what stories could be made up aside from the original storyline.
In most of my favorite books or shows I usually root for the supporting characters even the antagonists and not always the lead character. And of course them being just supporting they don't get much screen time. That's also the reason I read fan fictions, to read more about my favorite characters.
Anyone here also read fan fictions? Why do you read and what kind of fan fiction do you prefer?

I like to read fanfiction as well, though I don't think I've ever come across fanfiction from books. That is intriguing though and makes me want to see if there is any of that out there. I usually read the characters I like most, especially if they couple a character together that normally wouldn't be, or that only HINTS at being together.

I agree on Twilight fanfics. I found a lot of good authors for Twilight. My favorite pairing there is Bellice or Jalice (it's really not that hard to know who's my favorite character on that book)

I love reading fanfiction, be they official fanfiction (ala Star Wars novels) or those written online by amateur fans. My favourite tends to be fanfiction geared towards exploring what happened in that world after the story has ended. I love seeing how people have taken the idea and concept and made the world so much more richer with their stories.
There are also other kinds of fan-works I look out for, like fanart and roleplays. Do you follow those as well?

Oh I also like those post canon fics. I especially like reading those kinds of fics in Buffy because I can't seem to get enough of that show even if it ended a long time ago.
I like fanarts! I usually visit deviantart just to view different fanarts made by artists there. I haven't tried following roleplay though.

I like reading fanfiction to a certain extent, especially about finished series to keep the characters alive, but I really, really dislike fanfictions where the characters are taken out of "their" world and inserted into "our" one or the author inserts him/herself into the story to make out with one of the characters (yeah, I read lots of Twilight fanfictions, hell knows why ...). It's fine to make up new things but you can't take certain aspects of a story and mess them up with other ones.

I loove fanfictions! I was so amazed when I first discovered them a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since. Sometimes I read fanfics from books, shows, and movies. I am a frequent visitor of fanfiction.net and I love some of the stories there. One of my favorite fanfics are from Harry Potter.
