I love to be the passenger in a vehicle of any sort so that way when I dont have to drive I can just relax. I love to read a good book if its a place that I've driven by a ton of times. If it is a new place that I am visiting then I like to look at the scenery. I will keep my camera handy in case there is something neat to take a picture of on the way by. Once in awhile I take magazines along to read but I usually save them for at home for when I'm bored and have nothing to do. I like to do crossword puzzles sometimes as well.

Well I'll just stare at the views outside, listen to the music. When I'm tired, I'll just fall asleep. Long journeys can be tiring but for now, I can endure at least 3 hours.

Well, I'm somewhat a different type. No matter where I'm sitting, I feel reluctant to go to a conversation with other people, though we may be familiar. The reason, I guess, is that I just feel it's too tired to be in a long journey and don't want to waste my energy talking. Most of the time, I just keep silent, thinking about personal things or falling asleep.

Hi,
I like to sit at the windowside seat while taking a plane.
I like to see the outside view from the plane....so exciting and very
nice view.
However,if I am taking a long distance flight, I prefer to have a rest
throughout my trip.Unless, If I am taking a short distance flight, then
I will look at the outside view through the window.

If the journey is in a new place I would spend my time enjoying the scenery. However if the long journey is in a usual place then I would rather just read and learn or else I would sleep and be rested.

I enjoy the nature. I will be watching the trees and various birds perching and chirping on it.i admire various fresh wild flowers, fields and its greeneries. Farmers working in it actively. Tractors moving around in the fields. Railway personnel doing their job. People moving around in the platform, roadside views and so on. In the meantime rewind some old memories too. sometimes i will go through the magazines and chat with my fellow passengers.

I am also guilty of nature-neglect (sort of). When I get to travel and its a long journey, I usually read or play using PSP/Gameboy.

I look out the window and just enjoy seeing new things, if I've never been where I'm going. I turn up the music, maybe listen to some old songs I used to (and still do) like.

If you pass another vehicle and see some one with their nose pressed to the window looking out...that is probably me.
With the possibility of only traveling in that particular spot once (who knows?), I love experiencing the sights, nature and sounds. I just wish there was time to stop along the way. Don't you?

I also love to watch the nature while on travel, esp if that would be my first time to travel on that place.
I would like to take pictures too and i don't want to lost any good views that i am seeing.
That is why i always had my camera on the go each time i am travelling.
And i like to travel on bus with long journeys, rather than plane, unless it is an emergency.
Have a good day always

I don't like to take long journeys unless i do have a windowseat. I love to watch the scenery go by. There is so much beauty to be seen in the world. it would be such a shame to miss any of it.

Hi Baluyadav,
I remember the childhood days when I could sneak on to any window seat - people seemed to allow me to sit by the window - however, now at 36 it seems the other way round if I get any window side seat.
But yes, I still feel the nature and admire it when moving on a train or a bus(though I rarely use the bus for long distances any more). These things still continue to attract me and the child in me doesnt happen to hesitate opening the windows even when it is raining outside and I know that the water would get through and make me and the seats wet... but I do love this a lot. Still prefer to get to the seat next to the window.
Cheers,
theSids

When on a long car ride, I have to be driving, or I have to sleep. I get horrible motion sickness on car rides longer than about an hour. It is better at night, where i do not have the discrepency of how I am moving from how the things on the horizon are moving, because I cannot see the horizon. My husband tends to watch something on his laptop while I am driving. He gets bored to easily, just looking out the window.
