Would you be insulted or upset if your date uses a coupon to save money?

I can't understand why, but it seems that people who use coupons are still considered cheap! Although I don't date, when my wife and I go out, we try to use coupons whenever we can. If I were to date, I would think of a person who uses coupons as a smart and savy individual. In this economy, saving and using coupons to save money is almost a necessity. How do you feel?

I even pick up spare change off of the ground. You would be surprised on how fast it adds up! I even have found a few wheat pennies every now and then.

When you use coupons you might project that you are smart but you might also project you are poor. The group of people that date look for positive and negative indicators of attractiveness which is deeply connected to power and security. Coupons is a negative indicator because it displays lack of money which is a form of power that gives security.

If a person can't figure out that saving money is a good worthwhile thing to do, do you really want to date them anyway? It can be the beginning of an expensive relationship. Benjamin Franklin once said, “A penny saved is a penny earned.” “Money is like an arm or a leg - use it or lose it”
Henry Ford quotes.

I don't think there is something wrong with using coupons. Having the coupons in the first place means that you have bought something of value, so it's not considered cheap. I am glad to use coupons when I can even if I am with my friends. If I am with my man and he used a coupon, I will still feel glad because at least we have saved money and can still use the spared money with other items.

I'd agree with you that a person who finds ways to save money, is a smart person rather than cheap.
Some people can take it the wrong way.

Well, I don't care if he uses coupons to save money. You see, there is no fault in trying to save money, the economy is low and it's hard to earn money.
From another kind of view, you can even know that your date is not the kind of people who spend money without restraint. That's a good news.
