Problem: Application process is running but not visible/usable

I recently updated my free comodo firewall to a new version and now almost all programs that I run (including calculator!) require me to run them as administrator, otherwise if I run them with a regular click they just open on the background (task managerprocess) but no application window opens (even in the taskbar). I already tried disabling UAC but to no avail. Im using windows 7 32 bit

Hi there. I'm also a user of Windows 7. I just had my comodo firewall updated two days ago but I didn't have any problems like yours. Maybe you should try checking your computer for any program that makes your systems crash.

Could you give details of what you did, including the settings that you chose? It could be of greater help than the suggestion that I gave. Other Windows 7 and CIS users can benefit too. How;s your assignment?

As far as I can remember, only CIS was the one that has been recently installed/updated on my computer. There were no new apps installed after that. Strange. I might reconsider reverting back a few days with system restore.

Try System Restore and bring your computer back to the state before you updated your Comodo Firewall. If it works, then you might wanna see what's the problem with Comodo. I've got the same update but it's not applied yet.
