if you were to prove or convince someone of the opposite gender from another country to be your friend, or marry you, or have a relationship with you, what traits would you be proud of that you got from your culture? generally, with us Filipino women, we are proud of the fact that we have our family and marriage values intact. with Chinese people, i admire their way of doing and handling business. with Americans, i like their being straightforward and their discipline regarding time. with Germans, i find their being very strict as a way to improving standards of output, be it work-related or in the discipline in their household.
this discussion is meant to appreciate the values we have from our own culture and to bridge cultural barriers. looking forward to having unbiased and positive responses :)

filipinos are really family-oriented. we take good care of families. even friends who become close to one family becomes a part of the family already. also, we are very hospitable and we value education for our children as well. there are so many good things about being a filipino and living the life in the philippines, we are a proud race and we helping out people also, fellow flipinos or not.

hi nikramos I am anAmerican from the Us and California the traits in our men that I admire are honesty, pride in country, kindness, compassion and appreciation of our freedom, and being on time viewing those who are always late as being really rude. I love the family outlook of the filippinos and the family closeness of the chinese too.I hope you get
many responses and that this will bridge the little ouchies we sometimes
come across due to cultural differences.
