Do you get your flu shot?

It is the time of the year, people might get sick easily, and the germ might spread all around again. Flu shots are available everywhere now, either at your local clinics, or at those pharmacy stores such as CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid for the price of $25. Luckily, at the place where I work, they offer free flu shot. A lot of my co - workers sign up for it. I didn't go for flu shot this year though, because I don't think I need it. I remember last time, even though people got the injection, they still get the flu, and sick.

I used to get the flu shot every year but last year I did not. The studies are so controversal that I just decided to take the risk of getting the flu then to take the vaccine. In my family we are all healthy so it is highly unlikely that any of us would die from the flu. When I used to work in a hospital flu shots were given out free to the workers. Some places dont make it optional though some places make flu shots mandatory for their workers I dont know if I agree with that or not. I think I'm more against it then I am for it.

I have no problem with flu shot, but it seems won't work for us sometimes. Some people still get sick when they have flu shots. Maybe it is different from people to people.

I dont get a flu shot.. But I take a lot of vitamins to keep my immune system.. I dont say it's a guarantee if you take a flu shot, as the flu strain changes every year..

Just like you, I have the same thoughts about flu shots. I tried it before and ironically I did not get the immunity that I expected. It was even traumatic because I got sick for a week. So even if it is offered freely in our company, I just ignore it.
The best way to be healthy is to eat the right kind of food, practice proper hygiene, exercise if you can, do things in moderation and think positive. Always bear in mind, too, that our way of thinking also plays a damn great role in maintaining balance when it comes to our physical condition.

I also used to get flu shot. Flu shot prepares the immune system for the actual virus that enters our body. The immune system recalls the same flu viruses it encountered from the flu shot that makes it to react and be ready whenever it attacks. the virus are destroyed before the flu systems develop in your body.

I got mine last week. My immune system is so terrible that someone can sneeze 3 miles away and I'll catch their cold, LOL. I was one who never used to get the shot, knowing that it sometimes doesn't protect from different strains of flu going around, and yes, some people who received the injection ended up getting the flu anyway. But since I did get the flu last year, I figured that I might as well get the injection and hope that it helps.

Only once I have taken a flu shot and that was more than 10 years ago. I never take it cause I noticed I got sick when I got a flu shot and I didn't get sick when I didn't take a flu shot at all. People thinks that taking a flu shot won't give you a flu, but it will get you sick. Not sick enough like a flu, but at least a cold. The flu shot is basically a virus and the reason they put a virus in your system is because your immune system gets more stronger and healthy to be able to fight off stronger viruses like the flu. That's the reason why you get sick when you get a flu shot. I haven't taken a flu shot and I thank God I haven't gotten the flu and swine flu at all and I hope and pray it stays that way.
