Social networking and blogging account for 17% of all time spent on the internet. These sites mostly wastes people time. Nearly triple the amount of time spent at the beginning of 2009.
What do you use the internet for?
How can you estimate your use on internet use?
Are you wasting your time?

Well, to be honest, it is very easy to waste time online, because there are so many fun, yet totally useless things out there. But I try to avoid it, I spend most of my time online trying to make money, so that is not a waste of time!

I also try to avoid it.. But sometimes, I just can't avoid it!lol
But I think, I should also have the time for fun sometimes because being too busy could make you insane.
I spend my time online for contacting my family and friends faraway and research some of my studies online. But sometimes, I just can't help it but get tempted on some fun useless sites. But I know it is okay to have fun sometimes.

I dont think i am wasting my time using the internet because i only use internet if i have something important to do like here at my lot where i can earn money.I also can check my daily e mails so i can monitor my friends and relatives updates or my important messages.Sometimes i also do games and fun quizzez but for a very short time only so i dont think im wasting my time using the internet.

I spend most of my time in my computer surfing the internet and sometimes, I come across useless things... But I tend to avoid it. So I can say that I don't waste time in the internet because I value my time for some other things just like you. Earning, researching and a little bit of entertainment can be fine... like some games and fun quizzes you do too! =p

As for me, I am not wasting my time online. Yes I log in to my facebook account but that's only for just about 15 minutes. After that I start doing my research or either write for online submission. I use the internet as my source for additional income. I just hope as days pass, I will see continues progress in an upward trend.

wel i dont think the time I spent everyday on the Internet is waste because 50% of the time is spent on my course work and researches and the rest is on entertainment and earning time. For me my life is more interesting since I got my computer

No, I wouldn't say that the Internet is a wast of time at all. It is a great media where millions of people all over the world can connect and share their stories and their knowledge. It is a place to find things you need that are difficult to find. It is an opportunity for all sorts of things where people can enhance the quality of their lives.

I don't think it's a waste of time for you. I often do browsing some interesting websites ,reading emails and responding to my friends .It has become a routine for me.I think it's very interesting to create my own space and tell people about my favorite books or music.I enjoy shopping on line. It saves a lot of time.Sometimes I try to avoid the useless things .

Wow i see that the internet is a great use for you. That is why it does not waste your time at all. I am also avoiding those useless things in the internet. So that I do not waste my time. I am a busy woman and I value my time so much.

In my opnion Iam not wasting the time i9n INTERNET.i USE ALMOST 30% IN BLOGGING 30% IN MYLOTTING AND REST FOR MY EDUCATION RELATED PROBLEMS.So I don't think using Internet as a waste of time.I like internet BECAUSE IT GIVE ME AA LOT OF WAYS TO ENTERTAIN MYSELF.

Yes, I am using internet everyday,sometimes I do think it is a waste of time, especially at weekends.But I think being a part of sociaty,we can't live without internet,though it takes much of our time,we do benefit a lot from it,we can watch movies, download music,expand our sight......
It can't be denied that we may try to reudce time on internet, but can't keep away from it.

You are right! It is now a trend to use the internet. Most of the people now use it for their own personal reasons. Sometimes, we can't avoid what we do in it because there are lots of sites now that entertain or pleasure you. And it is up to you and your ego.

I don't think the internet is a waste of time for me because I make extra money on the internet and it's about the only way I can get extra spending money for me to buy things I want. So I don't think it's a waste of time.

Frankly, i have watsted a plenty of time on internet ,which i regretted a lot for .So I am trying to make best advantage of Internet . I am browsing English websites and looking for useful information for my study now .I can't say that i use internet in 100 percent .But i am trying to make it.For one hand ,the cost of internet is not ignorant in my county .For the other hand ,it is harmful for us to sit in front of computers.Thus,i should cherish the time spending on internet and do something meaningful .

me too, i have wasted my time mostly on my computer. That is why, now I am trying my best to only research and go to my earning sites when i go online. I also rest my eyes for sometime... when i do face the computer for hours. i sit straight so my back wont hurt.

the internet is quite useful in my daily life.and i don't think it is a waste of time when i use the internet.most of time,i search the answers of problems that i have encountered. i can broaden my views here. i can also amuse myself when i get tired of my study.

Some sites, yes – it’s a waste of time. Especially those networking sites, it’s not giving me any advantage. I’ve tried facebook but all I get is scan pictures, read updates of about people’s lives and that’s not really ok with me. I’d better watch movie online.
Anyway, being online though is not a waste of time for me. I guess this is the best thing for me to do when I’m not working. It relieves my stress and diverts bad thoughts.

I do think so too. But I think some of those networking sites give me some advantages through contacting my family and friends because I am far from them. But I only use them sometimes.
It is sometimes a waste of time for me, especially when I am studying. I really get tempted. lol
But I am so thankful that I can surf the net too since I can learn a lot and do some of my research here too.

I never think that Internet is a waste of time. I think internet is now become a part of our daily life and also many things possible through internet. We can meet any person through internet. So I never think it is a waste of time.

We can meet any person through the internet... but those people are just passers-by in our lives except for those people you already know in person/ personally in real life. They somewhat touched you but they are not really your true friends. But anyway, meeting some people in the internet world is more than an entertainment for me.

I use Internet to earn money online on my free time and also to send e-mails to important people like family and love one. So the Internet is not really wasting my time. I used to just be on facebook when I was so addicted with it but not anymore after I realised I was wasting so much of my time there.

i also got addicted to fb games and other online games before. but now, i discourage myself because i realized that i was wasting too much time on them. they are really so addicting so i won't even open the application anymore now. for good!

Mylot doesn't waste your time because you earn here. But some other sites do waste your time. I also use the internet by contacting my friends and family. And this does not wastes my time because I also need to contact them from time to time. It is a need for me to find out what they are doing or how they have been.
I also use the internet for research. I really learn a lot.
But sometimes, we also come across some useless sites and some of these waste my time. I pretend to ignore it but I can't help others especially when it is so fun to read those stuff.

I use the internet to communicate almost every day. I do it on my spare time, it doesn't interfere with anything that needs to be done. I don't think I'm wasting my time. As long as it's an enjoyable activity it's not a waste of time. Because everything that needs to be done gets done, there is nothing wrong with surfing for fun.

I think I am wasting my time sometimes, because the internet really tempts me to stay in the chair for how many hours during the day. Especially when I am not busy. Then I can't do the household chores around the house.
It also drains my energy sometimes maybe because of the eyestrain and backaches i usually get after being in the computer.
I think, I am addicted. But sometimes only. lol
