So far I like Bukisa, how about you?

This is my experience so far. I have written 10 articles and have earned 18 cents. I am experimenting there to see if this is where I will write my 1000 articles. So far so good.
But I hate their choices of pictures. There is very little choice and often the pictures that show up have little to do with the article. But then I probably don't know what I am doing yet. Experience is the teacher!
How are you doing?

...Hi again, Well at least you have the eighteen cents. "o) It's hard to get money for writing. One of my other friends here left for a while to devote her time to Helium. The last time that I was in contact with her she said that she was making a living there, so she must be doing very well. Me, I am just going along, a few pennies here and there. I get a check every now and then from survey sites or other places. But no big shakes, I figure it's something for my time. I did have three of my articles accepted by ezine articles, there is no payment there, but exceptional exposure I am told, so I put some of my links there and will see what happens. I'm having fun so I'm okay. If you stick to it I think you will do well, they are reading your work so that's a good thing. I wrote sonething like that down as well a while ago to write 100 aticles. Interesting that you are on a 1000 article road to success. Keep it going. I have to remind myself about my goal. Thanks for asking. Do stay in touch.

Bukisa is good, I think, but I don't love it like I thought I would. I LOVE Triond and Associated Content, but I think my favorite is Triond (even though I've been paid more on AC, so go figure). I'm a member of all three but I find it's harder to get views on Bukisa which makes it harder to get paid, I think. However, they do pay the most once you hit 1000 views.

Triond is good as long as you are not one of the writers they decide to scam or as long as you do not need to contact them. Their support for writers or anyone with questions is horrible!
And if you look around, you will see that there are quite a few writers out there who have been scammed by them too.
So please be careful, Triond seems good in the beginning, but they are not professional like Bukisa or Helium etc.

Oh wow, thanks! I haven't needed their help so that's good. How are they scamming people? By not paying? I guess we'll find out on October 10th if I was scammed or not.

Thanks Julia and Puccagirl for relating your experiences with the different writing sites. I hope we can all find a place where we can do well.

Hi Formidexo. I just went to http://www.bukisa.com/ and got a message saying "You are accessing" and warning about a virus that I might have. Although I think the concept at Bukisa is interesting, there's no way I could see myself writing 500 words and not getting at least $1.00 from that story or article.

Actually the minimum words is 200. I just posted a few more articles that I had on Triond before. Since they were poems, I had to add an introduction to each of the poems to reach 200 words which actually was quite fun as I relived the memories of why I wrote the poem in the first place. Remember they earn continually so one day it will reach dollars for each article. The better the article the more the earnings become. I'm doing it because I love to write and want to become a better writer and maybe one day even write books. I have a few ideas but I need to improve my skills. And here and there I can do that!

I see. That sounds good then. I might try it out. I see it's a good way to get experience and an audience as well.

I'm also trying to get a hit article that would get lots of readers. So far my most popular article on Bukisa has had 16 different readers. While my most popular article on Triond has had 673 hits. One article on Triond has earned .64 cents so far and will keep on earning.

I like Bukisa, even though my earnings are not huge yet. But I am getting there... :)
I agree about the pics, though, not a very good selection.
The only tip I can give you is to stay away from Triond, since they might very well scam you. It's not worth the chance. I worked for them for over a month and got scammed, so I know what I am talking about.
Bukisa is much better, as is Helium. I don't have experience with any other sites (except Shvoong which is a bit different, but also okay), though.

...Hi puccagirl, Could you tell me how Triond scammed you? I really do not feel that we get paid enough for the output of work there. So I would really appreciate it if you would provide details on what exactly happened. If you want to pm me that is okay as well. Thanks very much for taking the time to answer.

I think if you visit the Triond thread on Mylot you will find her experience there.

I will improve with practice because practice makes perfect. I enjoy writing much more than wasting my time watching television. I want to write a couple of books one day but need to improve my skills and so I'm practicing till I get really good.

You can upload your own pictures, or you can use a link to some that are already online (as long as you give credit where credit's due, of course). You can use your own pictures for thumbnails as well.
Other than that, I agree with you that their suggestions are odd. I've written several articles on the same subject, used more or less the same tags, and only once the suggested picture was acceptable, the rest were completely unrelated.

Sounds easy enough. I will have to try it as I'm really exited about writing more articles and earning residual income from it. Thanks!

I think it's fairly a good site to write and make a few bucks. You can't make big money but it's somewhat worth your time if you write consistently over there. There are other sites too where you can make better rewards.

I guess every site has its pluses and minuses. I will just have to keep writing as I have time and see what happens. I will keep doing it as a hobby and just have fun with it. I like writing better than watching television.

I agree with the pictures. It's funny because their suggestions are sometimes not related to the topic you're writing about. Nevertheless, I am happy because I have received several payouts from them. Not bad for articles that are previously published. I am basically maximizing my earnings through Bukisa. I hope they stay for a long time.

me i dont like Bukisa. i wrote 5 articles and was waiting for the response but i got only 3 cents in a week. you also you mentioned you wrote 10 articles and got only 18 cents. This is unreasonable and worthless. Here at mylot I can earn 18 cents in one day which is not equal to 10 articles. In my opinion its not wise to join bukisa unless you are excellet at writing article and have patience for it

Well I'm up to 36 cents and have just posted a few more articles. It is the residual income that I'm after. You write the article once and post it in different places and continually earn from it. I'll let you know how it goes. When I reach one dollar I will really be excited and post it. From the same articles I have already earned a few dollars on Triond and they continue to earn. Now I have posted them on Bukisa and maybe later I will post the same articles on Wikinut too.

I'm doing well on Bukisa I just joined as well, so I'm probably in the same stage as you! In about 3 days I've written 22 articles and earned 0.22 dollars which is kinda bad but okay for 3 days... I hope by the ime i'm more experienced I'll earn more, but I must admit to have joined a different site called Triond which got me $14 a year which is complete rubbish for 160 articles! Any help?

If you are not on Triond yet, that is another place that you can post your articles. If you post them first on Triond then later you can put the same article on Bukisa for extra earnings. All the best!
