this may sound weird but i hear voices in my head when im trying to doze off. they say long paragraphs but sometimes its hard to understand what they are saying. Some times they will say a brief sentence and i can clearly understand. sometimes its a female voice and sometimes it is a male voice. I am not mentally ill lol or a psycho. And they never tell me to burn the house down or do anything harmful its just random stuff. Does anyone else experience this? Kind of hoping im not crazy.

This comment sounds annoying you but, i just want to tell you frankly, search your history, background or other relatives, you may not ill but you must have to check your psychiatrist, they offer some stuff to open up all memories you had been, will try to put back things and recall all those nights you hear the voice, maybe some kind of inheritance from your psycho relatives hundred years ago,or maybe its just a paranormal entity, that wants to enter you, if that so, you can control it all by yourself, try to pray always, whatever your religion is, just don't forget to call our mighty GOD whenever or whatever you do.

Thank you. I feel embarassed to say this but there are times when i hear "phrases" about something that would come true the next day almost as if i could" sense the future, you dont have to beleive me but i do pray about it. I was so terrified that this happened to me i asked god to take it away from me whatever it was, and it still happens occasionally but I am not scared anymore. I put my love and trust into god that he will keep me from any harm. I shrug it off and find it very interesting now. I am not offended one bit by your comment but i am glad you are giving me advice. Thank you. As for relatives i am close close descendant of Joe Clark if you know who that is. I am sure i have some psychotic relatives hahah. There is some stuff that happened to me in the past that goes along with this but i dont feel comfortable talkiing about it in public. Thank you for your advice.

it happens occasionally, like last time it happened was a week ago, but when ever i lay down and expect it to happen it doesnt, but whenever my mind goes blank and i dont even think about it, thats when it happens. But it happens all the time, its like plain as day somebody is like telepathically talking right into my head. sometimes it sounds muffled, sometimes i just hear random stuff like.....make sure the door is shut, or sometimes it asks me questions like "were are you going?". its just random off the wall phrases and questions like somebody is having a conversation to me. I dont mind it or want it to go away i think its interesting

Seriously, speaking it is sign of paranoia and in extreme cases schizophrenia. If they are repetitive occurrences you need to consult a psychotherapist, psychiatrist or those specialist in mental health. they are the signs and they are more experts when it comes to that issues. They could tell and explain it to you better. Do not rely on the suggestion of inexperience people as you need to consult the expert before the issue consume you. I could not judge your current state of mind but if the same issues repeat. You need to take the issues to an expert.

Do you listen to people talk a lot? Do you work at a call center of some kind or something like that? When I was working in a restaurant, when I would go to sleep I would hear the buzzes from the timers for the food and my coworker's voices. I really hated that job, it was super stressful and fast paced.

Many people have a predominantly visual memory - hence dreams - but others may be more attuned to hearing things. The voices you hear are possibly something to do with your experiences that day or in the past. They may be something you have read or your mind actually describing (or trying to describe) something you saw or experienced. Where other people have 'flashbacks' and visual replays of, generally, insignificant events in the recent past, you translate these as 'voices'. If you can't understand what the voices are saying, sometimes, it is because your mind is replaying stuff randomly and may even be trying to make sense of something for which there are no words. The only thing you can do about it, I think, is to live with it and not to be afraid, because it is part of the unique 'you'!

Yes! There was one or two years of my life when that would happen to me. It actually usually sounded like my friend's voice most of the time. You're not crazy. I don't know if you have these, but I had insomnia and depression and I think it was related to those.

I think that these voices are not normal. These voices are real and once you will try to talk with these voices the more you will expose yourself to it. Sometimes you may hear them in a certain house. I suggest you will transfer or move to another house even if this will not harm you in any ways. They lived in the house where you stay now and when you move to other place, there's a great possibility that they will not follow you.

I'm curious, what are the voices telling you? And does your house have some history in it? Are you experiencing only voices or do you experience something else?

I have never experienced hearing voices when I am about to sleep. Well, aside from the other people who are awake and talking when I am about to get to sleep, that is. You might want to go to a psychiatrist to get yourself checked. You won't lose anything if you do. Just to be sure, you know?

I don't think that you're crazy. I used to get that aswell when I was a kid. Not anymore though, but now I usually fall asleep in the tv on so maybe the fact that it's not totally quiet is why it doesn't happen anymore. But as a kid I used to hear people calling me. I thought it was ghosts for a while actually. But it was just my imagination. I had a great imagination as a kid. So yeah, as long as you don't think that they're real it's nothing to worry about.

Hi. adamgray1337. The only thing like this that I have experienced is when, my own conscience or intuition speaks to me. Also if the Holy Spirit directs me unto the right path. That is only when I hear voices. Other than that, I have not experienced anything like you have. I hope that you are okay, I mean really.

The only time that this will happen to me is when I felt so uncomfortable and having a sleeping difficulty. But often when this happen, I had like a long and tiring days, though I don't have enough energy anymore but I still have many things to think about. A lot more situations that are weirder than this happened to me but it didn't continue until today. So I always make sure I'm happy and comfortable enough before going to bed, I mean at least not much things will actually disturb me. Also this is only happening to me when I'm sleeping alone. When I'm with my sister or with my partner, nothing like this will ever happened. So I believe it is due to an insecurity as well.
