I know long time ago especially those who live in the provinces, it is a practice to wash their hands before eating. In fact, even in the bible this became an issue when the pharisees questioned the disciples why they are not washing their hands before eating. Before, the use of spoon and fork is very seldom you can find in the province because they eat with their bare hands, since we are now using spoon and fork, i believe, no need to wash our hands..What do you think?

I wash hand before and after eating because i don't feel like eating when i know that millions of germs are in my hands and fingers. I can get all the viruses and bacterias if i don't wash my hands. Nothing really biblical, just the main reason that i don't want to get sick because of being too lazy to wash my hands.

There's nothing religious about the reason I wash my hands before eating. Your skin feels better when you do and it gives a better feeling too. Really those bacterias and germs and what not aren't going to kill you so that's not really a reason. The only other reason other than it giving a good feeling is when your hands are really dirty because of mud or something. Also when we prepare chicken we wash our hands regularly, you don't want bacterias from chicken transfer to your vegatables unless you like having a regular visit to the toilet. ;-)

These days with so many viruses and germs enccirling even our air, I am one that washes my hands constantly. Being in the medical field I have also appreciated the practice that washing out hands is good hygiene practice.
