Is Your Email Inbox Constantly Full?

Seems like I get a ton of unwanted emails a day. The junk catcher is catching some, but I always end up having to manually delete a lot each day. It is very annoying! Do you also have this problem? I bet lots of people do. I guess it is just one of those pains of the modern age. It is a satisfactory feeling, somehow, when you get your email account cleaned up though. Is it not great to have a clean inbox? It's kind of like having a clean house I think.

I get 400-500 of useless emails daily. My solution to this would be use the filtering option on the email service to filter out the spam. Then I'll create a few folders: one for persona, the second one maybe payment/receipt..etc and move the important emails to the corresponding folders and delete the rest. So everyday I have 0 spam in my inbox.
Cheers.

I too get emails every day. approximately 15 emails a day. mostly are offers, marketing emails. I seldom delete those emails. I only clean it when it is too many. A clean inbox sometimes isn't great. I mean, clearing all mails could cause your important emails to be deleted as well

In my case, even if I receive a lot of spam every day, my spam filter works well, so it rarely lets any of them go to my inbox -it sometimes happen, but it can't be helped-. What kind of account do you have? I am using Gmail and it works really well when it comes to filtering spam -but it seems to attract spam too, my spam folder is always full, what I find kind of suspicious-.
Good luck!

I have a hotmail account too, but I receive less spam in that account compared to Gmail. The spam filter works well too in hotmail, but Gmail filter seems to be a little more receptive when it comes to identify spam, at least in the case of my accounts.

Yes, I get quite a lot E-mails in a day.
Awhile back I had all my dear friends from off mylot on notification and unfortunately not many post them now, as I get less and less each day. I get more updates off facebook now than I do here and I really wished that I had more discussions to respond too as I really enjoy this place and it seems slower these days.

I get about a hundred emails a day in my main email, mostly from myLot and surveys, MyPoints and other such things. It takes a couple hours to clear them all up and that takes up some of my morning. Then I visit the email when it dings as I'm doing my writing assignments and try to deal with them as they come. I don't get much spam, mail dot com is good about putting real spam away and leaving the rest in the inbox.
I like it when the mailbox is empty! Then I go over to another email account and clear out the other surveys and emails that I make a few cents for reading. I have a few other mailboxes that I check a couple times a week. Email takes a lot of time for me but it pays off one way or another and it feels good when it's all cleared out!

My email box does stay full, but a lot of the time it's my own fault. I sign up for sooooo many newsletters (they seem so interesting at the time) but then I don't have time to read them so I get annoyed when I see them after a month or two. I'll go through and do a lot of deletes and unsubscribes, but then I'll turn right around and subscribe to more. I guess I'll never learn!

Hi Rallon,
I feel the same way too. In fact, I'm doing the same thing now. I'm not really sure how those people or merchants are able to get my email address. It's very tiring cleaning my inbox. It's so unbelievable that sometimes I have to spend almost half an hour just cleaning my inboxes since I have more than email add. Urgh! I hate those nonsense emails.

Mine is, most definitely!
I get about 100 emails a day mostly from things I signed myself up for, this site and other sites I get paid from too.
granted I do get the occasional junk mail, but once I mark it as junk it does not show back up in my email box. for the items that I did sign up for and decided to opt out, I hit the unsubscribe link, not the junk box. that takes care of things like that.
I go through a couple times a week to clean up my emails and clean out my junk box.

Not today, but quite often yes. My junk filter is quite good, and probably 60%+ of my mail ends up there.
The rest are usually myLot notifiers- or surveys, or invites from other discussion sites.
These I often struggle to get through, especially if I have been away from my PC for a few days.

Yes exactly. If you take a few days or a week to check back on the mail it has overloaded completely. I wonder if I would feel the same if it were real mail in a mail box? Maybe I would get tired of throwing away trash the same way I tire of spam. Luckily I don't receive such mail as that would be very wasteful too. I guess email is much more environmentally friendly for such waste.

Yes i have my inbox full everytime but i use rediffmail and gmail. Rediff has unlimited mail space so there is no need to delete each and every junk mail.Gmail has a priority inbox feature. Its a new feature just check it out. It separates the clutter from the important mails. But definitely yes its a satisfactory feeling when i delete my junk mails , its just like making my room tidy. Have a nice day!!

Nowadays, I check my email everyday so those emails which are of no importance or relevance to me will be deleted staight away. I do not even bother to open the message to it. I will periodically go through my inbox and delete unwanted messages.

I don't know who your host is but all my junk mail goes into the junk folder except for some of my Yahoo mail. It's the Yahoo address I use to sign up for things and if I cannot remember what it is I send it to the junk folder. But I also get tonnes of unsolicited mail as well.
You just need to manage your incoming mail better I think. It might take a little while but it will be great in the long run.

Unwanted mails automatically go to my spam inbox. Now I receive fewer annoying mails. Long before, I labelled them as spam that's why I get a few unwanted mails in my inbox.

nah, I always try to read each one carefully. Ultimately, I just get frustrated, skim over the titles, read the interesting ones, and delete them all. I hate a messy inbox =P. I get survey invites and what not, so when I get around 20 e-mails, it is message genocide time lol
