In the region where I live, the weather changes very fast. One day it may be bright and sunny, and all of a suddenly, it could become so dark and gloomy the next day. I certainly feel very depressed when I have to be driving to work in that kind of gloomy weather condition. Does the weather change very quickly where you live ? Does the weather effect your mood ?

The weather here doesn’t change that fast … in fact its summer most of the year, even in the monsoons its very hot and humid, so I’m kind of used to it. Nevertheless, I really don’t feel like doing anything during the monsoons…the rains coming down in sheets…the skies all dark and foreboding, the wind lashing and the sound of thunder, all somehow manage to make me yearn more for nature… I feel like going away somewhere where in can enjoy the monsoons better… I don’t enjoy staying confined in my office.

Yeah, I see what you mean. When the weather gets harsh, one gets stuck indoors. Monsoons can be very strong at times, right ? Very dangerous to stay outdoors at that time !

When the rain comes, things get cooled down, making it comfortable, right ? That would be more pleasant than in the summer time, I presume.

So, in the summer, it gets extremely hot ? Yeah, that can be almost unbearable, I suppose. One would then be looking forward for the rain to come !

Weather does affect my mood. When i went to work early today the weather was bright and i really feel like walking a few blocks to ride a jeep in going to work, at least i can have a few exercise. My mood was very nice when i came in to work. Now that my shift is ending, the weather changed due to the upcoming typhoon that will be hitting our country today. And i really didn't feel like finishing work already. I wanted to go home right away as sleep but i really can't i still have a lot of things to do :(

Yes, I see the news reports on the TV about typhoons in the Far East. That is extremely strong and very dangerous, indeed. Here in North America, there are hurricanes, very disastrous, at times.

Actually here in the Philippines, during June to November is rainy season. We usually cancel our flights or most of the time, do not book flights whenever we want to go to other places by plane or by ship. But regarding my mood, of course, rainy days are not so so good to me because it represents gloomy and sick-like mood. It is psychological but i think rainy days for me is cancellation of feel good activities!

I see what you mean. When the weather if not good, traveling by plane won't be pleasant at all, especially at the typhoon time, right ? I see the news reports on the TV some times.

It definitely does.
In Singapore, with no distinct seasons, Weather types are limited.
Either Extremely hot sun, pouring rain, clear sky etc.
One minute we can be out doing outdoor activities, the next will be sky covered by dark clouds and looking as if its gonna be a heavy downpour.
When its too warm and humid, it makes work a chore, when it is pouring out there, it makes me unmotivated to do anything but sleep and laze around.
To me the best weather to have is one where Sky is clear with moderate amount of clouds.

So, the weather there in Singapore keeps changing hour-to-hour ? I have been to Singapore three times, and I remember it rains just about every evening. Really amazing ! But, it does not get very hot in the course of the day, like in Bangkok.

Yes. a great rainstorm takes my breath away. I prefer a grey day to a very sunny day , save when I have something outside planned. I love how the shy is dark and inside you need to use electric light.I love hearing the sound of rain and as long as I have a umbrella and my rain bonnet I love walking in the rain too!

most of the time. if i have somewhere to go and it's raining, i don't like it 'cause i don't know how to walk with the rain pouring..
i like it when it rains actually but thats only when im on my bed. i don't like sunny days. i hate being under the sun. whenever i am sweating, it mostly irritates me.

For me too, heavy rains make it difficult to walk outside. If it gets very windy, that makes things much worse.

Not so much. I'm happy whenever it rains. I like rainy days. When it's sunny, I usually frown because I do not like the sun. But I'm still in my best mood even it is sunny.
Work affects my mood more. haha. Especially when I get stressed out and get scolded for something I was not liable for.

Oh yes, that I can understand. Work can affect the mood very much. I can sense you are a very conscientious worker. I am sure that is valued in your work place.
Good luck to you !

I believe for some the weather can affect how they go through the day. The sun does give us nutrition through its rays as well as energy.
On the days of rain we are also given another type of energy, the rain clears the air, some don't realize this. Darkness can affect the human mind into thinking it is a bleak day. Me I like to play in the rain as long there isn't much lightning.

Very good that you enjoy playing in the rain. Yes, I suppose, it is all a matter of getting adjusted and getting used to changing weather conditions.

Sometimes.
When it is too hot i feel lazy to go out and i don't like going out either.
I prefer to stay home and do useful things like doing some handicrafts or updating my kids album.
When it is cloudy i like going out and do some grocery and shopping or walking in the park.
Climate change, sometimes really affects my mood and activities.

Weather conditions are quite different in different parts of the world, indeed. Clouds prevent the extreme heat to some extent. Yeah, outdoor activites have to change depending on the weather conditions.

Here too, when the weather does not permit, one cannot get outdoors. I like going out to the park and go jogging in the evenings after I get back home from work, to get refreshed. But, on days when the weather is bad, I just have to stay stuck in the house.

No, not really. I'm in Britain and the weather can change from bright and sunny to overcast and rainy and then back to bright and sunny all in a few hours. We just take it as it come usually.

Yes, indeed. Dark and gloomy weather conditions very much affect the mood. Getting used to it helps a bit, but still very unpleasant, in some ways making things very inconvenient too.

The weather changes quickly in my country as well... Especially this year. There's the summer but all of a sudden it's raining! Then it's super hot the whole day then raining in the evening. Sometimes, evenings are very warm you can even catch yourself sweating while sleeping. But today, I woke up to hearing some raindrops on our roof. Typhoon must be out of our country by now but the rain is still continues...
Yes, weather can affect my mood in some ways. I love cold weathers. It reveals out the poet in me that I am able to write more poems and songs and novels. On the warm days, I get easily irritated and always wanted to be alone! Hahaha... The cold weather makes me hungry all the time, it increases my eating habit as well as sleeping - that's the only thing I hate about cold weather coz it makes me gain more weight!!!

That is very interesting how you describe the weather. Yes, I can sense, you can write beautiful poems, songs, and novels. Would the weather conditions influence the type of poems and songs you write ? That could be interesting too !

Here where I live the weather change for period of couple days. When it comes to sunny ones than I feel realy optimistically but when it falls under the clouds for the whole week it can get me realy sadly thinking and sometimes even depressed. Maybe there should be something to compensate this weather cycle for people.
