Will you work for money only?

If you are given more than 10 thousands (or 10 times of your current salary) a month, but to do something you really hate to do or do not interested at all, will you accept the job?
My friend asked me this question before, and my answer was NO. I just can't work on something which I'm not interested at all, or I find it boring at all, no matter how much money I'm given. I'd think it's suffering if I'm doing something I don't like, or I'm not happy at all.
How about you? Will you take the job if you are given that chance? Will you do something you don't like at all?

My simple answer is no! If you are not happy or comfortable with your job you might felt useless. The satisfaction of any job matters most for me. Once you are satisfied you won't felt guilty, boring and unhappy. I prefer to do a job even I receive a small amount of salary as long as I am happy doing it. I hate doing job which I don't what to do even they force me to do so.

As long as i could use the money I earned for that job to do what exactly I wanted to do in my life, I'd accept it with all my heart. I could do something to make it likeable. Maybe study or learn about the job so it would be interesting.
However, if it's against my morals like what space dementia mentioned earlier, I won't accept it.

Well, if it was something that I would only have to do for a limited amount of time (for example until I was able to get all of our debt paid off) then I would do it without even thinking about it because it would only take me about a year to pay off all of the debt that our family has. However, if once I made the decision to do something like that it meant that I was stuck in that job for the rest of my life, then it wouldn't be something that I would be able to do.

At these times, I'd like to think I could endure anything. As long as it is just 8 hours a day, and doesn't have to impede with my personal and family life. I would also like to think that how-bad this work will be, will just make me appreciate my time away from it. Which is with my family.
So yeah, sign me up!

To be frank, i can accept it. We some times just need to earn more. We have to & should learn to give up some of our interests in order to get something in need, you see, not only money, but also something else worth to be owned.

I might do it for a while if I really needed the money that badly. I would do something i didn't like if I had to or if it was for a good reason. To help out or for charity. It is sometimes very good for the sould to do something we don't like to better ourselves or to help others.

No never! I have been in jobs I hated and I do not ever want to experience that again unless I absolutely had to so no amount of money would be worth the suffering! Life is too short to spend a huge chunk of it doing something you detest. Nope, no way...

I will work only if the satisfies me in all aspects. I had a better experience in this when I joined my first offer after college days. Though the salary was good, I resigned immediately after one year due to poor job satisfaction.
Definitely money is not the only thing which contributes job satisfaction. There are lot more of factors involved...!

No. i won't take that job. cause i think that we spend 1/3 times per day in sleep, and 1/3 in our job, and the lest 1/3 to do preparation for slepp or job or another routine things, our own time is very very limited, we should not have a job which we will not enjoy it. money is not the only thing in our life, sometimes we need to fullfill our spirit.

Hi there:
Having a job is better than having nothing to do at all. Having a job, even if it is not my interest, as long as I am able to do it and not put my life and anybody in jeopardy, would do fine for me.
It is just like having food and water or nothing else to eat and drink at all. Any kind of food as long as it is not poisonous will do.
A man can't have a lot of choices, is there?

I would not reject it right away. True, I may not be interested in the work or really hate to do it, but... I am interested in the money. I would measure it against the effect of me doing the job. If it does not harm or kill, I would do it for money's sake, if it is worth my doing.

I don't think so. It's hard enough just finding a job that's suitable for me. Sometimes I can't work the hours, or I can't stand for as long as they want me too. It's a real struggle for me, although I'd like to be out working right now. But I think I'd have to be happy doing the job, as long as I was happy doing the job. It wouldn't matter how much money I made.

YES. We must work in the field which we are interested in. Only the interesting work we are doing will have a good prospect to us.
If I am given 10 times of my current salary in my new job, I am sure I shall work for it.
I don't work for fun.
I work seriously.
I must earning the living to support myself and the people around me.
However, the offer for the 10 times of the current salary is unbelievable.

It is not money that satisfy us at all. Sometimes, you also need to be comfortable in everything that you do. Given that question, of course I will not take the risk. First and foremost, how can I earn that much, if I am not interested on what I am doing? Maybe if I am given the chance to go on through that situation, I'll definitely ignore it, and look for something that can give me happiness, not just money.

I wont do the job even I receive that amount of money. Because it will affect my career if I dont love what I do. I would probably quit that job as soon as I just started it. Because what is the use of the money when you will just be all stressed out just by simply going to work. You will have stress related problems. And eventually spend all the money on your hospitalization. I would rather choose a job with just the right amount of salary but atleast I am happy with it.
