Do you admit your mistakes?

We seem to live in a society where many people are afraid to admit it when they make a mistake. I guess we are afraid others will think that we are stupid, but don't we all make mistakes? Isn't making mistakes the way we learn? It is easy to generalize and say "I make lots of mistakes" but only a few will admit a specific mistake. Perhaps it's time that we all realize that we are human and admit when we are wrong. Maybe it would even take away some of the stress that many of us feel. What do you think?

I really don't make mistakes. But, mistakes happens when we try to do new activities in a new way. So, we learn from that mistake. So, not only me, I think all of us don't make mistakes, but it happens. right?

Hi arunmails, Most of us don't try to make mistakes but as you say, it does happen. Admitting that you were the one who should have done something and didn't isn't easy for some people. Thank you for commenting. Blessings.

There are times that I admit my mistakes and there also times that I don't. But most of the time, I admit them and feel sorry. I am not the type of person that I have to pass my mistakes or fault to others for me to be saved.

Hi maean, I think we always feel better when we own up to our mistakes. It would be unfair to try to blame another, and certainly more stressful in the end. Thanks for sharing your views. Blessings.

mistakes dont mean a thing if you dont regret them....we learn from our mistakes and if we dont, history keeps repeating itself and we make the same mistakes again.

Hi sweetmary, If we own up to our mistakes we are not as likely to regret them, at least everything is out in the open. We all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them, but trying to hide them or make excuses creates more stress. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Blessings.

I admit my mistakes and always have. I was raised that way. You're absolutely right that everyone is human and everyone makes mistakes. I have found that owning up to my mistakes gets me the best outcome of a situation in the long run.

Hi pose...I think this is a sign of maturity. As you become older you really do become wiser and finding that admitting your mistakes ain't so hard after all is a sort of right of passage. Another rite of passage is the moment you fully understand that the more you know shows you how little you know. Yet at 17 I thought I knew everything!

Hi MsTickle, How true that is, it's hard to admit miktakes when we're young. Now I'm continually amazed at how little I know. Blessings.

I've always been one to admit my mistakes. I used to work in an office enviroment, for 17 years, and I hated nothing more than when one of the other girls made a mistake and they would try to cover it up and/or not admit to it. It didn't matter to me who made the mistake, what mattered to me was to correct and make sure the person who made the mistake know how to do it properly next time or they will just keep repeating the same mistake. So I agree with you that people should just own up to their mistakes, learn from then and move on. Cheers and happy mylotting, Chris

Hi chrislotz, Thank you for your comment and I agree with you completely. It doesn't matter who made the mistake, just that it's corrected and the person learns from it. Blessings.

I admit my mistake but sometimes I still try to fight for my answer if i am the one who commit errors or not. But in the end, I learned! Accepting mistakes in our freewill is showing that we are strong to face changes in ourselves. Even sometimes we think we're right or even we're teachers but still need to accept our mistakes. Open mindedness and self-acceptance are the keys to be a good person.

Hi Pose I will admit to my Mistakes no matter what the Consequences as I do not believe that Mistakes can be hidden no matter what you do And yes I agree it would take some of the Stress away, the thing is though, People are to afraid to admit because they are scared of the outcome of admitting the Mistake because to many People today specially Employers are not understanding any more

Hi gabs, I agree that the workplace can be tough but I'd rather face the consequences than have someone else blamed for my mistake. The stress that's caused by hiding behind a lie is there, even for those who fail to recognize it. I've made plenty of mistakes as we all have. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Blessings.

There are some mistakes that are so obvious one has no choice but to acknowledge them. But seriously, I think you're right. Admitting you've made a mistake and dealing with it can lift a huge weight off a person's conscience.

I don't like to admit when I make mistakes. I get very frustrated and angry with myself when I do things wrong. Sometimes I can laugh at myself but I still want to kick myself when I learn I messed up. I do need to be a bit more easy on myself and I'd probably be less stressed.

Hi lumenmom, There are plenty of people out there like you so don't beat up on yourself. You mention something that I think is important though, being able to laugh at yourself. Sometimes our mistakes are serious matters but at other times, nothing is hurt but our pride. Laughing at ourselves at such times can be a great stress reliever and makes us see that we, like others aren't perfect. Thanks for sharing those thoughts. Blessings.

Hi Pose123!. I think if I made a mistake I will admit it especially to the one I made it. I think they need to hear thats we sorry for hurting them. Like I will love to hear the word I am sorry from the person who hurt my heart because its really help to ease my pain, and I think its work vice versa. I think if you capable in admit your mistake people will had more respect for you and its easy because no one is perfect.
