Most of us have either of these accounts or both these accounts. I have both, but I hardly use Alertpay - since from the very beginning I got used to Paypal. In fact , even when Paypal had some regulation problem with the Reserve Bank of India and we were all stranded without knowing whether things would get sorted, I never thought of using Alertpay.
There are some countries like Srilanka where you can only use Alertpay. As for the others who have the option to use both these online accounts , which one do you prefer and why?

I have both accounts in these payment processors and so in reality i found them almost equal as regards functionalities or support for example..so i never saw big differences..may be paypal has more functionalities..but in general they are ok both.

Hi akp, As things stand now and with the new RBI and Paypal rules for India, one may have to look for alertpay as a better option. However, paypal had always been a better option since the service was prompt and was reasonably hassle free...thanks a lot for your response, have a nice day

I am from Philippines and I prefer PayPal over AlertPay. I'm more comfortable using PayPal to transact all my online earnings in and it's been two years that I am using it.

I have both of these two online accounts. But I mainly use Paypal for it is more acceptable worldwide. Due to its business is all over the world, it could offer featured services to people from different countries, which makes people feel convenient. I hope that Alertpay could improve its service because I think people could benefit from market competition.

I'm registered with both Paypal and Alertpay and I also use them both but not too frequent with Alertpay. I still prefer Paypal better than Alertpay simply because I have been using this payment processor longer so I trust them more and know that I will get my money in my bank out I'm not afraid of using Alertpay but it is just that I really have no reason using it at the moment because most of the sites I joined all require Paypal as payment processor.
Have a nice day

With PayPal I can transfer immediately money, like with express buy. And PayPal has more languages, English , French and Dutch. And until now I never heard of Alertpay.
So I think that paypal is more known to people.

Actually I don't have an Alertpay account. So, I have to say I of course prefer to Paypal.
There is no an exact reason for the why. I've used Paypal for a couple of years, so I don't think there is a need for me to open another account at Alertpay. Paypal has satisfied my all needs, and a lot of sites support Paypal. It's becoming an international way for purchasing.

I am fine bhanu, hope all ok with you and your family Hey why is that? It is the easiest thing in the world to have a paypal account of your own. Dint you ever want to have an account of your own? Alertpay is like paypal, and I am told that it is easier to access and you dont need a credit card etc; except that their charges are more...all the best bhanu, have a nice evening

I always prefer PayPal over Alertpay. Although Alertpay is not that bad but you will find PayPal has large customer base and it's accepted in many countries.
Yes in India it got some regulation problems on receiving money from few banned/unauthorised accounts regarding money laundering thing. Apart from that it's pretty safe and convenient way of receiving money or transferring the money.

Hi jack, thats true , paypal has a larger customer base and the recent tussle with the RBI has only gone on to strengthen its reputation , inspite all the requirements. However I wish we had a method through which we could transfer money from one another meaning paypal to alertpay and vice versa...thanks a lot for the response and have a nice evening

Well I always preferred Paypal though I have accounts with both Alertpay and Paypal. But now I am having verification issues with paypal as I don't have either a credit card or a debit card and that is making my life hell. I need to upgrade my membership in a site for which I require a verified paypal account and by no means I can get it done in a few days as it will take a little time. I might prefer Alertpay in future for one simple reason - Best and simplest verification procedure by linking your mobile number :). I don't know much about Alertpay otherwise, but I would not mind using it as an alternative to Paypal, but paypal would always be my first choice for the security it has :)

Hi ms, thanks a lot for your response You know you don't need a credit or a debit card to verify your account. Just give your bank details and that is sufficient to verify your account. At least thats what I have done and my transaction is going through all right...this site - is it tdd ?there I too face the same problem .
I too prefer paypal since thats what I am used to as of now - have a nice evening and all the best

I've never used alert pay. I've always used paypal but as I've started "working" online I have learned that I will need to sign up for aleter pay.
