Does a comment should have atleast 25 words?

This is one of the rule I always read from other paid forum posting sites. I know they are paid but what's the difference? Mylot doesn't give this kind of rule. Do you count how many words you make in a comment? I sometimes write lesser than 25 words but I am still paid. Or it depends on how you explain your insights?

Do You mean response to a discussion or the comment given back to the response received? In either case I never count my words while doing both the tings.I basically take the subject into consideration and try to add as much I can into my response. Well I try to comment to the responses I get, and here also I never try to count the words. In fact I feel counting the words and posting a discussion means we are just doing our job mechanically and we are doing our job just for the sake of earning money. So while doing so we actual tend to fail in expressing our actual views about the topic which is under discussion. I think, sincere and seriously discussed topic on this forum will not only gets you good earnings but people on this forum recognise you and they start giving you respect also. If we are positive, not using any abused language and unnecessarily harming others and simply participating in the discussion, I think there are every chances for us to have good earnings! So, I think it is not the quantity which counts here it is the quality and quantity which helps us to get good earnings. Remember Mylot people are always ask us to be as descriptive as possible and at the same time they want quality postings, useful, helpful and constructive postings with proper grammer, punctuations and with no spelling mistakes! Thanks for initiating the discussion, this will help many new entrants to this lovey site Mylot! All the best!

Thanks ellyse, I really appreciate your approach and spirit, please keep it up you go too far in your life with such an attitude! I am proud to say that I am one of the senior members on this site. I am practically there on this forum since the time of it's inception but because of some family problems I could not participate actively for few years. But now again I am active since last week and hope I will remain so in future too! Thanks !

I see, I am still new here and I have lots of things to learn. I met senior members here, how long have you been here? I learned a lot from them. I posted this topic not because I have a lot of questions in mind but to let other people know the difference of a good insight rather than thinking about how many posts you make. I really don't know how mylot pays us here but when I start a discussion I only think on how people will react on my topics and how will I help other people here. It's not important if I earn today as long as I learned. I like the way you explained these things to me, moreover, you helped me understand that I should post not only to earn but to understand what the discussion is about and share things that could also help others.

Yes,you must've observe that mylot doesn't have such rule (how many words per postings) Yet,mylot pays you according to the content of your responses and not how many posts you make in a day. So,try to give responses with essence and inter-act with other mylotters with enthusiasm with your comments.

Thank you for that information. I learned something today from you. So, that's it, they look for quality posts we make and not the quantity. I still consider myself new to this site and it helps me to learn everyday from people like you.

As for me i don't count how many words are in my comments and posts. I just say everything that i have in mind and stop if i don't have anything else to say. Good thing myLot is not too choosy on how many words we write. But i thing that will aslo affect the earnings..maybe not sure about this :P

I was thinking about that too, if it affects out earnings, other sites require to have at least 25 words per comment to be paid $.3 cents. I don't know mylot, if they count our words per comment.

I never count the number of words that I write in any response, as it would be a little annoying to do, but I had never thought either of the 25 words rule existing in other sites. All I know is that Mylot asks for "quality responses". It's a very vague concept, but I suppose that it's saying something better than "yeah, dude, I agree"

And as long as we share information about the discussions we are responding to. It is very important that we understand what we write and read too.

Well at this point I really have no idea of how they compute points. But whenever I post something here, I usually write an average of 50 words. Not that i feel i should, but its just what i feel like saying with regards to the topic being discussed. And besides, no harm in making sure that I will be getting points that i deserve just to compensate for the time and electricity and effort I used. (^_^)

Since the day I signed up here I was searching on how much mylot pays, but till now I don't have any idea ho they compute our earnings. What i do is the same as what you do, I write what I feel about on a discussion, I write till I have nothing to say. But the thing that I count words? I don't really do that, as long as I have shared something. We all deserve to have a payment.

There are no such rules here, those are just assumptions. I write what i feel like writing and never count how many words i have written.

I know there are no such rules here. I have read the faq details. Do you think counting the word on every comment we make helps us to be paid higher?

Their comments here? Or comments having 25 words? I always see that rule from other paid posting forums which the members need to accomplish with the 25 words per comment they will not be paid. I'm thankful that mylot doesn't have a rule like that.

Mylot lets us to enjoy the site freely. And they encourage us to have quality posts too, that's what I always do. I always try to help other people on their discussions.

Hi! I haven't seen you for a while in my discussion. There are other forums who require their member to make at least 25 words to get paid. I think as long as we understand the discussion and create a good response then a good pay is waiting for us.

may i mention the name of that site?is it TDD? if it is about TDD it is actually 250 characters not 25 words.if i am not mistaken the characters include the form commas, full stop the space and the letters as well.are you already on eof the member there elly??what do you think about that site?
• Philippines
23 Oct 10
It's not TDD. I have been applying for more than 8 paid forum posting sites and they require to have at least 5-7 posts with 25 words in it, then interview will be the next step after they review your posts before they hire you.
• Philippines

Its for freelances where they assign you to work on web companies to post and make comments on their site. When you reach 7 posts they'll email you about your interview.

on that case, it is not a big deal to reach the 25 words as we always respond in more than that.anyway, that is a big number of paid forum posting sites.but i wonder why is there an interview??hiring??it is not something like mylot?

Hi ellyse, Mylot pays us for both quality and quantity. Our comments have to be relevant to the topic and just typing "thanks" will not get us anywhere but maybe deletion, so make sure you have something to say and share before you respond. Don't type something like "I don't know" which doesn't help the discussion at all. There are some rumours that the more you type the more you earn, I am not too sure about that but do participate more in different discussions and also answer back in your own topics, this will help you a lot towards making your earnings. Imagine if there is a rule saying, for e.g mylot paying 0.01 per word, then you will see people posting a lot of rubbish or just copy and paste things from anywhere and everywhere. This site would not be so enjoyable then. We have no idea how they calculate our earnings but I do know that quality is important, and I think it is more important than quantity. Hope this helps you. Cheers!

Mylot pays fair, that what I can say. We all know that this site doesn't tell us how are we going to be paid but still we trust this site. Quantity doesn't make sense if the things you are posting are non-sense. We should also think that by our posts we are able to help mylot to attract mote members. I don't realy think on how much will I earn today as long as I enjoyed my time staying here at mylot.

From what I observe and read through responses given by more experienced myLotters, earnings from comments posted are really based on the quality of the answer. It should make sense and should be relevant to the topic. I personally feel that the number of words don't matter at all. This is a site that encourages interaction and interchange of views and opinions. Knowing how to express them well is what really counts.

That's what in my mind too. As long as your comment is complete and understandable, it is not necessary to count words. We also don't end an interaction in one comment, here in mylot we talk and make new comments after they respond to our insights.

They don't rely on how many words or sentence you make. They look after the whole message itself. Is it descriptive? Is it Helpful? Is it meaningful or just non-sense? The more descriptive you get the better.

Or if we really understand the discussion itself. Mylot is one of the best site who checks on the quality posts we make. When posting we should also consider that we are talking in general and not only to a single person.

I am not quite sure about it. But it seems that long posts are regarded as the qualified one. Perhaps it is not counted by the quantity of the words. Try to write 2 or 3 lines and it shall be qualified. I love China

I heard about that too, but I really try to write if I still have some ideas and I only write short sentences if I really have nothing to say on a discussion. I really don't know how do they count our earnings totally but I enjoy every hour I spend here.

I don't count the words too and mylot doesn't have a rule like that. I encountered that rule from other forum posting sites but not here. We are free to comment in every way we want here as long as it's not just a short word, we should also interact with the discussion a little bit.

hello ellyse! yes,i have read that rule from other site i've joined. mylot has no rule like that.you can comment as long as you want,no matter how short or just an emoticon will do. i have seen other mylotters who just comment on one single emoticon, but still the discussion is running. so,there's no violation there. i have seen also comments like never ending ones. it's fun to interact here cause you can talk everything you want. not like in other sites i've joined. i still love mylot even though i don't know how the admins here calculate our earnings. well,i can easily express myself here more than other sites. i don't count my words here. if there's something i count,it's the number of lines i have made. well, as i've known we can make one cent for every four to six lines we make. or depends also on how or what have you stated in your post.

That's what I really love about mylot. We don't have to think on how many words we make and how many characters on our paragraph. I may not know how they calculate our earning but we all know we benefit from this site even we only post short sentences. I can always express myself the I wanted and to help other people by posting too. I don't count my words either but, as long as I wanted to share or tell then I'll continue on writing.

It's really hard to get qualified to a forum like that. They have to check every sentence you write, they'll look every part of your paragraph. After passing every test, they will hire you as one of their employee. You can now work as a forum poster and be paid with minimum wage.

I think that my lot responses are rated by the quality of the discussion. It should be at least 4 lines and answer the question the person is asking or lead them to a place that will help them answer their question.I try my best to answer responses to the best of my ability and never do one liners that are just a waste of time and they are usually found and deleted and the persons account warned about terms of service.

When I respond to any one, I try my best to share my thoughts. I don't know what is the standard here but many are saying that if we post longer comments we will be paid higher. Sometimes we tend to make a comment longer than usual. But as long as we have ideas in mind we have to share it in order to help others. In my case, I do short sentences sometimes but not always.

Comments should have atleast 25 words as per mylot's guideline. The more you explain the more it will help in you rating here. You will be paid same amount if you write 100 words of comments.

mylot doesn't count they always check on the quality we post. That's the good thing about this site. I don't know yet about the rating but I'm happy that I got 9 stars even I only have 279 posts on discussions.
