Plants are very important part of the earthly life cycle. Nearly all other forms of life would disappear from our world without them. The roots of this typical green seed plant anchor it firmly and draw water out of the soil. The water is passed upwards though the xylem tissue and then evaporates through the leaves into the atmosphere. The nodes are the points from which the leaves spring, and the internode is the length of stem between the leaves.
Plants perform many functions and processes, including manufacturing food to sustain life on earth. All green plants contain a pigment called chlorophylll, which is essential for the process of photosynthesis whereby food is made in leaves. This food is carried by the phloem tissue to other parts of the plant.
I'm a plant lover, this how the detailed part of a plant exist, some people just hurt or destruct plants so easily. They just don't know what the benefits of the plants for us.These plants help us in so many ways, one way is they prevent landslides, and it give us breathe fresh air.
How about you? are you a plant lover? how do these plants help you?

Yes! Im a plant lover and addict as well. Even though im afraid to earthworms, it never hindered me to love plants. There's so many instances that I will request my husband to bring me in one of the popular garden in the city just for me to buy plants that are unique and appealing to my eyes. I even exchange new dress, food, bag and shoes and buy plants instead of them. I really enjoyed every trips I made with different gardens that offers unique varieties of plants and trees. I especially love flowering type of plants but I also have ornamental types at home when I saw how appealing they are. I will forever be a plant lover because even up to this age, my passion for them never fades. I simply admire their beauty and endless benefits they've done to our environment. Good night!

hi Bingster yes I do love plants and miss not having a house and garden. I am stuck in this retirement center where I c annot do anything really]
fun.But I do know all that plants do for us.A lot of plants are food
plants like celery tomatoes cucumber, radishes, onions, beets, and on
and on. Lettuce and romaine are stapes for us salad lovers along with
juicy red tomatos and crisp greencucumbers and celery. we would be hard put to feed our hungry selves with food plants.I used to raise the most beautiful fushias and camellias and azaleas and also had an herb garden and a veggie garden too. A lot of plants give us heart and diabetes and blood pressure medicines. oh we need plants to give oxyen to the air arouond us, to shade and feed us and make us healthy too.

Hello to you too, Hatley.
It's sad to know that you really have to stay in that retirement center. But in any way, I'll do pray you could have back your herb garden and veggie garden of yours. I'm drooling out my saliva for I am a salad lover too, those red tomatoes are my favorite so yummy. I can imagine myself eating those you have mentioned today. Plants will really made our lives easier. ^_^

Yes, I love plants in my garden, planting them and watching them grow. There is something very spiritual about a garden. We have 2 larger trees and it always feels good to sit under them too. We only moved here two years ago, but already I am enjoying getting the garden full of many different sorts of plants. _Derek

yes, I do pretty good with some house plants, but would like to know more about plants that produce food, such as berries and herbs. Just never seem to have the time.

Hello Tjburcham,We are of the same level, we don't have much enough time, but as for me, I don't have a budget for it to, to grow a bigger garden. God bless our future to have more plants that could benefit us especially for our basic needs.

I dont know why but this past year I have become a plant enthusiast! I love the idea of planting a seed and then watching it grow into something beautiful. My husband bought me a small portable Green house. I have it in my kitchen and its the best thing I ever got. I also did my first garden this past spring. I have no grass in my backyard. So I improvised! I bought a small round plastic pool. I poked holes in bottom and planted . I planted tomatoe plants, pepper plants, and cucumber seeds. They say for a first time gardener you're lucky if only one of them choose to take and produce. THEY ALL DID! I added a picture to show you. I now have plants everywhwere ! We breath better. the beauty of the greenery is amazing. My daughter had surgery and her teacher had come over with a lily(easter). Usually they bloom once or twice. Ive stopped counting as to how many times its literally bloomed. Plants not only look good but the health benefits are amazing. I just love that something I started from a small seedling and grew to this tall, beautiful, helpful to our health and can feed us. As you mentioned above the scientific aspects are great examples for our children. I have even had my neighbors daughter helping me. I use this time to explain photosynthesis, reproduction, healthy living, etc. Plants are not just for food. It opens up tons of conversational topics. Allows me to see the difference between cacti, and lilies, and the areas they come from. It has literally become a family thing. Try it I recommend it. dl

Wow, I see, you are really that enthusiastic. I appreciate the way you improvised your small garden at your backyard. And you're husband supported you to have that portable green house. It's so amazing. Looking those tomatoes, peppers and cucumber sprouted, it made me feel so that plants are really brilliant and it is like magic in disguise. Once we planted it in a day, after a week or two you can see its beautiful make up. Its good to know that you are learning to plant more in your garden and hopefully If I have the budget for planting more seeds, I'll do the same as yours. You're daughter will recover fast, especially that you have a nice atmosphere in your home sweet home. Spreading of being a plant lover is advantageous for us all. ^_^ have a great day, Dloveli.

I am simply awed and amazed at how wonderful God was able to put this alongside with us. They are wonderful creations we must take care of. People who destroys it (forest) does not know how to be grateful for the simple things that we have so they fail to appreciate its benefits. They only come to realize it when our cities are flooded during storms because the of the lack of trees that hold the water.

Yes it's a wonderful creation given by God. For us to live comfortably that we benefit from plants. You are right about the people having regrets putting the forest into darkness. In the end, people are the ones who will suffer from it. Hopefully that deforestation may be lessen in the future.

I am still able to pick and eat tomatoes from my vegetable garden, even though it is fall and will freeze soon. I bring in my houseplants in the winter and they add moisture to the air while making it fresh. The green leaves are soothing to the eyes and I like the blooms as well. I have already brought some in, and the rest need to come today or tomorrow to keep from freezing.

I love to plant trees because I am an adventurer. A member of mountaineer association in our locality. In short, almost or all of the mountaineers love natures that includes trees, flowers, birds, animals and everything you can see in the mountain. We are lovers of nature so we are the one who initiate tree planting. We love seeing the green places. When we are on stress most of the group members invite to climb any mountains that we can see trees and animals. Mountains can relieve your stress and also your problems. You will see the wonders of our mother earth that gift by the divine almighty for us to take care not to destroy.

I'm really proud of you, Mountaineer Julyteen.I envy you in a way that I'm hoping that I'll become one of the mountaineering team.
Back when I was still in my college years, I tried to join the mountaineering club bacause I'm interested in nature and adventures as well. Unfortunately, my schedule at school was in conflict with the mountaineering club's assembly for new members, for those who can join with them at the designated time and place then they will become the members of the club. And so I failed to join the club, and the fact I could have run for the time, but the place that the club was going to, was too far from our vicinity so I can't really make it that time. Anyway, I'm taking care of my plants here outside our home, it may help a bit to our mother earth.^_^

Hi Bingster!
Sometimes it's sad to hear how people complain about landslides in a locality when they have contributed to the problem by cutting down trees and plants randomly.
I believe what you said about plants as I am a plant lover too. Plants and trees are just not for shades or beauty alone. They have an important role too in making safe the air that we breathe in. Perhaps this aspect alone should make us realize how much we owe our existence to them.

Cheers!Cause you're a plant lover too. We really owe them big, people may just forget their existence sometimes, that they didn't realize the paper surrounding us, are coming from plants and the air that we breathe in could have been polluted without the plants filtering our basic need of air. We are proud to be one of the plant lovers, loving nature is brilliant to Humankind.^_^

And usually, some rare plants get my attation more easily than the ordinary grass. I will pay more attation to them and actrually, I hope more people will do some good to plant.

I love all kinds of vegetal life, it always makes me sad when people destroy it... Unfortunately, I don't live in a big house where I can have a garden or anything of that sort, but I do have a balcony and some pots, so I can at least have a little space where I can grow plants. It doesn't really matter to me which kind of plants, since I love all of them, but flowers always make everything seem more lively and colourful. I also like planting vegetables or plants that will later bear fruit (for example, I have several woodland strawberry plants that give me delicious strawberries every year) :)

I'm a plant lover. I like very much walking in the wood and tring to recognize the different types of plant. Furthermore I like the green areas in the city and I think that they are very important. In fact trees contribute to a moltitude of social phsycological and ecological services:
- noise attenuation.
- better management of energy balance of building.
- Improvement of biodiversity.
- Social improvement of healt, increased security. Increased of good place to live.
- Interception of air pollutants.
- attenutation of rain storm.
I'm a Phd Student and I'm studing the role of plants in the urban areas....I think that they can help us to solve a lot of ecological problems

I can see that you love walking in a place full of plants and areas that have green surroundings, it can also help us relaxed whenever we feel blue and lonely.
You are right about plants that they can help not only through ecological needs but also in our psychological dimension of life.
Loving plants is also loving life.THanks Marco.I've pressed positive rating for you.

I enjoy having plants, but since I live in an apartment and do not have money to pay my expenses, I have to use a couple pots to plant a few flowers. I used to plant tomatoes, but the mockingbirds had ate them all and left ants crawling on my patio.

I know that plants are very important to our environment but I think people take it too seriously. Like giving your life for a plant, that is not right. I'm not a tree hugging, fish kissing dirt licker but I understand the balance between man and nature. I learned about plants in Biology and they are very interesting indeed.

Can I eat some of them? hehe anyway, I'm glad that you love plants don't worry about having a green thumb, they don't usually matter, as long as you aim to grow one, they will grow healthily. Like when I was at the age of 8, I tend to talk to my plants, cause I can feel that they are listening to , I talk to them everyday and water them everyday, a week have past, I observe my plant having a blooming flower, I smiled like it reaches my ear.LOL, it made my day so blooming all the way.

That's why in the near future, I'll be attending more lessons about it.
Thanks for the brief explanation here by the way.
Plants greatly affect us in different ways ;)
Don't forget tat they also serve as natural medicines and main factors of the technological medicines today, as well :D
i hope this counts.

green thumb doesn't really mean anything, as long as you love plants, they will also love you as you do, because they have feelings and life. They are living creatures here on earth.
Like you, I'm glad you have that idea in the future that will contribute to our mother earth and I bet you'll be attending agriculture seminars to learn how to plant. Thank you for the add on about herbal plants, I forgot to mention it. Its a big help for us, especially to those people who can't afford expensive medicines.

oh i love plants. but i just don't plant. i just love plants to the extent that i don't destroy them. i don't pick the leaves and never uproot small plants. actually i get so sad when people are doing deforestation and never plant back. however, we can't possibly hold them back because they manufacture papers, furnitures and many other products from trees which are essential for our living.but i do hope that all of us will engage in reforestation to help our mother earth coz we all know that the earth is slowly destroyed. pollution is very rampant and cities are easily flooded because trees are already gone and being replaced with buildings or other infrastructures. i hope that all of the people realize this and become a plant lover.
