Can we earn big in MTURK

there is thousand of task available in mturk and each one pays not below 1 cent..most of the simple task pays between 2-5 cent so assuming the task for 1 cent each if you complete all those 10 thousand task you will be making $1000.I worked on mturk for a week and I made around $11.the task over there sometimes need a lot of time so I decided to work only on weekend.
